  1. I see So you suggest that FM emails the councillor, which I suspect has happened but no response. I suggested you try to see if you get a response and you deflect again Interesting (not) Maybe, if you try and get a response, you can berate FM but until then...
  2. Maybe @march46 you can email the councillor with a CPZ question and post how long it takes you to get a response. If you get one then FM can correctly be called out, if you don't then you might understand their issue.
  3. Maybe, like motorbikes, e-bike riders should pass a driving test, have insurance and be accountable for their actions.
  4. Discussion over BBC News - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/czewp16k6k6t Keir Starmer sacks Peter Mandelson as US ambassador over links to Jeffrey Epstein - BBC News
  5. Interesting look at the injuries caused by electric bikes BBC News - E-bike injuries are a massive burden, say surgeons https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c2ejgrw9yepo
  6. I also wonder if all this, recently events and so many u turns is going to also be the end of Kier Starmer.
  7. Why the slapping forehead emoji ? Did you score a home goal when mentioning "I am certainly concerned with constant misinformation around supposed increases in pollution, collisions, pedestrian safety and crime, as well as suggestions that the road filter on Calton Avenue has reduced footfall and damaged business. There is no evidence for any of these claims. In fact quite a lot of evidence for the opposite in many instances." Hardly the growing concern but the voice of a vocal minority not acknowledging the concerns of others over the way Southwark steamrollered in the scheme. Got to giggle, as now the square of shame is here, steam rollers can no longer access it. 😅
  8. Interesting statement, who has concerns and what are their actual concerns locally? Or are you slightly spinning here ?
  9. How beautifully ironic, the article says mobs putting flags up are roaming the streets shouting "Sieg Heil" the cry of our enemy in ww2 determined to take our sovereignty away. Its almost moronic. I saw something the other day that discussed how the medoa highlights the opposing ends of the situation, with the extreme right at one end and the far left at the other. What it mention are the ordinary people in the middle who don't support either extremes but still have genuine views that are being ignored by the media.
  10. Is it a bashing Labour thread or is it simply the OP questioning the use of "could" and not "will" ? I think its the latter not the former but im sure you will disagree.
  11. Maybe its a discussion point to get countries to accept their people back, without having to act it out, however if the bluff is called then it might be enacted. Hence the "could" and not the "will " at this stage Politics is a funny game.
  12. When there were issues with the termination and turning of the 12s in the past, I seem to remember them going down Lordship Lane, around the Goose Green Roundabout then back up Lordship Lane to stack outside the Plough. This, I think, occurred even with the new route masters (obviously not the bendy buses) Pity they aren't doung that this time.
  13. 363s are diverting along Barry Road, 63s are terminating early 197s are running fairly normaly subject to delays at the library end PECKHAM RYE, SE22: ROUTE 63 is cutting short of the normal service route due to emergency Thames Water works. Towards Therapia Road, the last bus stop served will be 'The Gardens' (WQ). Towards Kings Cross Station, the first bus stop served will be 'Peckham Rye / Barry Road' (WE). Please allow extra time for your journey. PECKHAM RYE, SE22: ROUTES 363 and N63 are on diversion in both directions via Barry Road and Lordship Lane due to emergency Thames Water works. Towards Crystal Palace, bus stops from 'Friern Road' (WP) to 'Underhill Road' (MC) will be missed. Towards Lambeth Road, bus stops from 'Underhill Road / Melford Riad' (MB) to Friern Road (WB) will be missed. Please allow extra time for your journey.
  14. Quentin and the quote was "There is no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years the dirt doesn't get any worse"
  15. It has been on diversion since thr 1st September and will resume when the works at the library complete (no dates available)
  16. I operate an organised chaos strategy
  17. Ah, so unforeseeable events didn't add to the "black hole" Gotcha
  18. Don't forget the impact of the last banking crisis, covid, furlough and the energy price impact on the economy or aren't those factors that caused a financial black hole in your view of the world?
  19. I remember when "fly the flag" was the proud slogan of British Airways it all went pete tong when Concord was retired 😅
  20. So you are justifying building on the green belt, in Londons case "the lungs of London" which will causes harm to natures ability to turn co2 into o2?
  21. The change of use of the green belt to call it brown belt for building and overriding views of local councils and people on building large new estates in rural village areas cries out to me that she wasn't delivering what people wanted.
  22. I don't really care about political sleaze in this i am more concerned about thjle ability to run.a country without running it into the ground. Currently, labout seem to be heading straight towards the rocks, ignoring the warning blasts from the economic ighthouse.
  23. Sorry @malumbu do your own investigation into that I'm old enough to remember things like the mass unemployment in the late 70s (down to labour) along with inflation running high, 4 day weeks and so on. So its not just about sleaze but wrecking the economy.

  25. Guess the same could be said about short memories and the last few labour governments. Ultimately the grass is always greener...
