  1. If only someone would invent a bag that's not made from plastic and you could put fruit and veg into them and they are made from natural products. Maybe, and this is a bit out there, something like brown paper bags !
  2. Details of how labour will pay for all their promises are coming out now Tax the rich equates to Those earning over ?80,000 Removal of married couples tax allowance Raid on inheritance allowance None of this is going to effect the common person in the street is it? Unless you are married or you inherit anything. 🤔
  3. Maybe, just maybe this is an indication that we should all start supporting our amazing diverse non chain local shops especially for groceries, fish and meat Just food for thought (if you excuse the pun)
  4. Uber only has 21 days to lodge and appeal and whilst Uber is going to appeal against the tfl decision, a magistrate will have to decide whether Uber is fit to hold a licence in London, or not. A decision from a magistrates court could take weeks or months and unless the court decides otherwise, Uber will retain its licence during this period too. So if they appeal immediately and the case is quick, it could well all be over by Christmas (lol that famous old quote) Personally I find their service of late disappointing and the number of times my booked ride cancels (driver gets a better fare) and the app has to search again is getting worse in central London.
  5. I understand where NewWave is coming from. There is little confidence in my mind in any of the leaders and parties to deliver anything but debt , pain and disappointment for large sways of the population. I will be voting as its a waste not to and I believe in democracy but I also am an ABC (Anyone But Corbyn ) as he is offering, in my opinion, poor prospects for the country and massive debt after (I've lived through too many labour governments not to spot the warning signs) but at the same time I can't honestly see a vote for anyone else jumping out at me. As a side note, if a labour government treats it's electors the same way the labour lead Southwark council have in ignoring the wishes of the many (East Dulwich parking controls for example and stealth taxes) then only the Devine being can help us get through. So who to vote for is the big question and as said I do get NewWaves point but I guess I have a few weeks to decide which party offers the lesser path to damnation. Is Father Christmas a contender ?
  6. Today I had a flyer from the green party shoved through my letterbox and I thought "now there's an Oxymoron if I've ever seen one"
  7. Don't know about anyone else but the exchange between blah blah and Mahoody on this and other threads makes me want to crowd around the pair of them and slowly chant "Fight fight fight" till teacher comes and breaks it up
  8. Healthy options !

  10. I was disappointed by this as I misread it as buying boobtube views. Oh well must get to the opticians when I can find it
  11. I actually feel sick when I see the gluttony adverts for processed Christmas food After all this isn't any old Christmas food, this is diabetes inducing unhealthy fat , sugar and salt filled Christmas food.
  12. Devil and the deep blue sea either way Guess it has to be which ever party has the chance of actually delivering as its potentially another hung parliament (or maybe we should just hang parliament !😂)
  13. Tin of spam, soggy sprouts, rock hard potatoes and mouldy Christmas pudding for me ! Sounds better than turkey 😱
  14. Dulwichfox Reading your posts I've concluded you are German as you take everything literally and respond the same with very little humour. (Note despite conceptions, not all Germans are humourless !)
  15. Have you ever run a tool like Norton utilities on your laptop to free up space from deleted files, optimise your registry and compress files on your hard drive ? It may not help but good housekeeping regardless
  16. I thought he was in a face off competition with Jezza for the role of father Christmas so I'm ignoring both of them...
  17. Tis the season to be jolly well coerced into spending Question : do Christmas adverts make you want to shop with the advertiser or do they leave you frosty the snowman cold ? The one that is driving me not to use them is for a delivery company beginning with A and a smile logo. The whole advert (and the company) annoys me enough not to use them. Bah Humbug

  19. It's almost as if labour DON'T want to win the election with their manifesto and policies After all it took them long enough to agree to one 🤓
  20. Poor person I give 50p via whatever method is opted for I think I felt them drive past earlier when I was in the back of my house

I'm not anti anything I just believe whole hearty that the policies of the labour party at this point in time, will bankrupt the country, drive entrepreneurs and higher rate tax payers to safe heavens and destroy jobs in the private sector as a result of nationalisation and companies that move away as the tax breaks abroad will be better for them However from your posts you clearly show a bias of pro labour. Sadly I can't support this incompetence shown by jezza and his policies that ultimately won't deliver anything good for the ordinary person (IMHO)

  24. More madness from labour Privatising BT openreach to provide free broadband to all. Cost is projected to be between 20 and 40 billion and maintenance funded by tax on tech giants (the 40 billion figure is what the BT chief Executive estimated it will really cost) Great for end users but will kill off other Telecom companies resulting in mass job losses and damage to the economy Where will all this money JC is proposing to spend come from ? And what will the cost to repay it be ? Scary numbers yet again from Labour
  25. That was a factor, however labour had such high spending before hand that they didn't have the reserves necessary to bail themselves out Austerity was needed to cover the debt the government was in, not the private sector and banks Partially caused by propping up a bank that should have failed I admit but the money that should have been used as a reserve was spent on other things so when push came to shove we had a bankrupt government in power
