Right to Buy- Council flat conversion- Is it a nightmare?

Major works normally a are every 5 years for externally decoration ,large works like roof etc can appear at any time but the pre assignment form should give an indication. If you are getting a 50 discount and the major works that have bee done have been factored in it seems quite attractive. What is the annual Service for 2014/15 -
Perhaps this all started whilst the jogger was trying to avoid a cyclist on the pavement. Just a thought

"or they should be levied for additional clean up costs." And pigs will fly

It has to change because it's Bellenden Village now not Bellenden Road. Going the same way as LL. Shame

What happens is the council will put in all possible future charges they can think off. This is to cover the future and your coming back at a later date saying you were not informed. Also some leases show a generic heading for the area your property is located. Many years ago many councils just used a far reaching classified heading for where you might be. I.e your lease might show you in for example Bulldog Estate. This might cover many many square miles and you were only charged for you property because the estates officer knew your property, now because of cuts they will now say your lease shows you are on the estate and because of this we can charge you for estate works elsewhere if you don't like it go the the tribunial. If it is not rectified before you buy you will be told you agreed the conditions of the lease. Ex council properties are a minefield with ever increasing charges. You need a good solicitor

I shall await my letter. What happened to the action expected from Cllr Peter John after you met him at your flat, Did you ever hear from him again?

Do we know where the first class clock man is going? Of greater importance than most of the threads on this forum

Why do they open up a road, fill it in and days later another contractor digs it all up again to do something else. Piss up in a brewery comes to mind.

I have to admit I have seen few people in wheelchairs getting on and off. Most accept this when it happens. What is annoying is kids aged 3 4 5 sitting in prams who cannot walk so the pram can be collapsed to get on and off. Perhaps these mums should asked how their parents managed. Stepford springs to mind.

Major Works by Southwark Council...should I be worried?
spider69 replied to sedm's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Are these actual bills? Before bills are sent out you should have received in detail "A notice of intention" prior to tendering providing a 30 day oberservation period and then "A notice of proposal" along with a statement giving the result of the tender process. A 30 day observation period must be given to allow leaseholders to make comments on the prices received. Both are important steps for initiating Major Works -

They've lost a lot of money > because of us educating and informing ourselves. Have they credited all other leaseholders? Or is it a case of if you don't fight and ask you don't get. See the previous post regarding Summer Field and accountants How many leaseholders are senior citizens who just pay when a bill comes in as they have never been in debt? And don't wont to be. Who are still owed the money because they have no one to fight their cause. Has Peter John responded? I suspect they have not lost money as many people have not fought their corner to get a refund and this outweighs any payments out.

Don't be harsh on the OP she did admit she needed to clear her head. Perhaps she was in a different park?. -

I think this should now be consigned to the trash can as it is getting very boring and repetative. Drive or cycle on the pavement keep death off the road

In my experience of dealing with local authorities each manager has a manager. Above Chris Flynn is his manager and this manager answers to Martin Green. Martin Green I suspect passes all problems down to this Person to solve. This is the person you should be dealing with and then Gerri Scott. Pressure will always flows down to Martin Green from Scott. Ask who this is and contact. Why have mangers who cannot take independent action? Hence the delay in answering

Perhaps they are fully aware the figures are wrong and will only amend if you challenge them directly and not amend every one at once In this case seeking permission to admit and amend.
