Council parks to charge ?2ph parking fee from 1 April
spider69 replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I used to use the Nunhead shops but now have to take 2 buses to get there. As Rye lane does not have buses and to get one means a long walk I have given up going to shop in Nunhead. How many like me. -

The Dulwich Park Car Park is the same. One day I counted only 11 cars and less on other days. When I asked the attendants they said this is now the norm. All the old regulars no longer come and the older generation with dogs no longer come because of the cost. So a very useful social club in these times has stopped.. When I complained all I got in response was a cut and paste standard reply saying we are trying to reduce the use of cars and people need to walk or use public transport. I also mentioned that not all people have a modern phone with apps if they needed to pay. Their answer walk to the shop in lordship lane and buy a ticket. -

Dont think it has been accepted but think that people know no what what they want for the better the Council will just ignore. How can you accept Rye Lane as it is when you cannot get a bus? Not every one wants to play cricket, party or ride bikes up and down.

If you could ring up and speak to a person in "The Office" how difficult would it be to do it on the phone as you speak?

Or the council hoping that people will forget about it.

Multiple burglaries on Chadwick Rd

In the cells walls so they can look out when jailed. No hope of this happening. Fist full of tickets for Alton Towers most likely -
Perhaps instead of using all these wonderful computer systems having someone stand on the side of the road and saying what if I screwed this flow up what would happen. No doubt too simple, cannot waste UNi degrees that only come a book not life experiences.

We must stop making excuses and hand out the necessary justice. These scum know this will not happen so they will carry on knowing they have a bag full of necessary sob stories. Even with the police parked in the street they had no fear. -
What blue badge owners have told me and what you may or not be aware of assessments are made by outside contractors, not doctors or consultants but 0ccupational therapists who do not refer to doctors or consultants opinions or evidence but a tick box questionnaire. This may have changed as so many were being rejected. So medical evidence was being disregarded. Lets hope you do not have to jump through so many hoops when you lose the act of mobility.

I would not call it a major town centre any more more of a street selling cheap rubbish.

Perhaps at some point the penny will drop and people will say perhaps we should have left things as they were because it worked and newcomers who think they know it all have got it all wrong. Maybe.
