  1. So if you had a choice to live on a closed off road or another with traffic you would not take it? Of course house prices would go up.
  2. Does not seem to be reported on any of the news channels I have been listening to. Just a common part of London living not worth a mention.
  3. exdulwicher Almost every post you put up is on traffic, I believe you were asked what Council/consultancy you work for as you are always in favour of traffic control. THat seems to be your job and I do not expect you will talk yourself out of employment. Please let us have the answer so we can read your posts knowing you are a committed traffic zealot with extensive knowledge. Thanks
  4. What restaurants are there in Ryle Lane that would put tables out for dining?

Like most things from Southwark nobody is ever aware of what they are going to do until its done and chaos reigns apart that is from that small band of zealots that seem to want and get.

  7. Is this because there was never any social distancing so decided to make it easier for the virus to spread? Does anyone on Southwark Council have any idea on how the neighborhood is made up and how it works or have they let the kids with red pens loose again.
  8. Dear exdulwicher Out of interest what local authority do you work for re traffic planning that you alway seem to push never ending traffic schemes without fail. As its your job I can understand why you would do it, No point in talking yourself out of a job
  9. I do not think it makes much difference how you travel now. I just witnessed 8 runners pounding the pavement outside my house huffing and puffing spreading germs all over. You would have thought they could have used the road but it seems around my location Southwark seems to be digging up the road with many diversions. From now on I think you just have to use your own judgement.
  10. For the first time since lockdown I used my car to reach DKH and found all there were are roadworks and road changes. Are the works a deliberate ploy by Southwark to make driving as difficult as possible. Having to avoid these diversions I drove many more miles than was necessary. The whole thing is madness. What is happening to the top of Camberwell Grove as it is now closed to traffic. No notification by Cllrs that any of this is happening. But then I am not sure if our Cllr actually exists any more. First time in a car since lockdown the whole scene had changed not for the better.
  11. Wish I could but not to good on the old computer. I just went on Southwark Council then typed in DKH road scheme and its in the stuff that comes up. Sorry.
  12. RMP 87 Dog Kennel Hill If you go onto the Southwark Web page you will find it. Bus improvement scheme.
  13. I seem to recall reading in the Southwark News sometime ago a plan by Southwark to narrow the road to restrict car passage.
  14. Well said Foxy. Like you I have many of you complaints. When they are young and so far up there own arse wait till they get old and fight to keep up with all the price rises where every penny counts. They wont be so smart then.
  15. 1st of April is I believe when all all Council wage increases kick in.

    M&S?

How is the self spacing going on Rye Lane. Would like to go for fruit but not if it is packed and people not doing the right thing.
  17. With regard to the subsitions are the replaced goods more expensive or cheaper. Would make a great deal of difference to the cost of a shop
  18. Is it possible for an update on Sainsbury's stock situation. Many thanks
  19. And when Johnson speaks tonight the locusts will be out in force tomorrow. I was hoping to replenish my food requirement. My daughter's partner went to Tesco , Surrey Quays this morning, queues round the block. Does it never stop. Left and went to a small Sainsburys at Canada water at least 100 people waiting for it to open.
  20. You are right but I think we are looking at a certain local area that fits the posh label and we would have thought knew a little better.
  21. Now that Mr Johnson has spoken can anyone give any information if this news has prompted yet another raid on Sainsbury's. I ask this as I have to take the bus to get there and do not want to spend time on a wasted trip. I would appreciate and I am sure others will appreciate it if we could be kept up to date on the state of stocks. I thank you
  22. Slashed as in cut?
  23. Just my own personnel thoughts are Sainsburys not stopping this bloodbath because they need the money to pay overdrafts and keep credit lines open? Banks only look at cash flow to service debt not profit. Sure someone in ED will be able to comment.
  24. No matter what people write on this matter the undermentioned I think sums it sums it up 100%. Should have said More greedy selfish A/H. Posted by richard tudor March 05, 04:45PM "Perhaps there are more A/H in ED than anyone realised."
  25. If you are thinking of going I would suggest you take a flask of tea and some food, the checkout out lines to pay for the few items left on the shelves are mad. God help the old folks who have struggled to get there to find the cupboards bare. Community spirit does not exist self greed there in abundance.
