  1. Both of mine did it. The first had proved himself to be an amazing 12 hour sleeper from early on and got back to that after a few weeks and the second, who had just started to go for longer periods was waking in the night till 8 months or so and is still not a good a sleeper as the eldest. In the end I accepted that actually babies are not ment to sleep through the night until thy are 6months plus and the first had been a lucky fluke. Still very irritating at the time..
  2. Mitchell's and Butler sold it over 2 yrs ago
  3. I have a child in the school already and will be applying for a nursery place in September 2013 for a sibling who is 3 in the August before the term starts. I didn't think that when they turn 4 has any bearing on when they get a place, just that they are 3 at the start of the Sept term. My understanding of the process is that applications are not yet open ( this is going by what the school annual calendar says) and they open in Jan 2013 after reception places close. To apply you get forms from the school reception and return to the school by end of Spring term (March)and are told whether or not you have a place by the Summer half term (end of May). It will only be part time places either am or pm and there are no current plans to offer any full time places and which place you get goes on a first come first served basis of preference when the allocation is made. I was also of the understanding that it is based on distance rather than when you put the application in and that siblings take priority as with the reception places and that this was the case for all school nursery places. I have no idea where they calculate distance from but presumed it was the school gates in Tintagel. There is no cost for the nursery as it is the Government funded 15 hours a week. Maybe I have completely misunderstood the process but if you want further clarification you could always email the Office as they deal with the applications.
  4. it used to be that they started at the beginning of the term they turned 5 in but now its single entry in september regardless of when they turn 5
  5. Applications would open Sept 2014, close Jan 2015, notification of places April 2015 to start Sept.
  6. I have posted this in the lost and found section too (which I only discovered existed today) so apologies for the multiple posting... Yesterday afternoon (19th July) I loaded my kids and bags etc into my car on Ondine Road and forgot to load the 5 year olds free maxi micro scooter in as well. Has anyone seen it hanging around anywhere? I have retraced my steps but no sign of it this morning.. Thanks, Craigy
  7. Amott Road Pre school isn't really a nursery, it is more of a playgroup where you leave them and has a limited number of places for 2 and a half to 3 years olds ( used to be 4 not sure now)and then more places for 3 yr olds so not really what you are looking for. Also term time only and they need to be toilet trained. Saying all that it is a fab little place and really reasonably priced. My son loved it.
  8. I did it before, sent them a stamped addressed envelope as requested and got a new brake within about 2 days with instructions on how to fix it on. Really good service.
  9. Ratty is a bit of a girl tbh.....
  10. Phone the Amin school number after 4 for Harris girls and you will get the right people to book a party. We have had one there and they are great and really relaxed..
  11. I have a boy in reception and only have good things to say.. It is a well resourced, well disciplined school with loads of facilities to say just a few things..
  12. When I was looking around for someone to repair mIne these were the only ones who would touch a bugaboo as they are a closed system..
  13. As above, I dropped mine off at Peppermint in Clapham with the same problem, it was away for a couple of weeks and cost ?82 to be fixed. Its quite a common problem, now works perfectly. However, the only thing I would say is that I didn't actually get my chassis back as I noted the serial number before it went and it was different on return. I think this may have been more the shops fault though as I left it there a couple of weeks longer as I was away..
  14. Mama mio tummy oil religiously every day with number one, huge tummy, huge nine and half pound baby- no stretch marks... The odd bit of same oil with number 2 but was summer and too hot so hardly anything, huge belly again, same size baby and stretch marks! I don't actually think it had anything to do with lack of oils, baby was always really low and over to one side and that is where the stretch marks appeared at 35 weeks.. I agree its all about genes...
  15. Tends to be an issue for pregnancy and baby if caught before 20 weeks or about 2 w eels prior to birth. Best to contact your midwife and check if they wish to give you anything too.
  16. we are just off oakhurst too and it must have been fletting as clock radio on one side of bed was flashing having been cut off yet the one on the other side of the bed was still showing time having not been cut off- bizarre!
  17. Jojo Maman ET Bebe had some a couple of weeks ago..
  18. I agree and would also recommend... Popped in one day to enquire about how much a quick snip on a baby's mullet would be and she did it there and then for nothing so went back another day and they did a really good cut on a long haired fidgety boy who has never had a good cut in any of the other hairdressers round here...
  19. Peckham soft play is ?2 for 50min session that start on the hour except the first one which start at 9.30 so is a bit longer.. Just as additional point it can be pretty chaotic in the holidays with the bigger kids there!
  20. I cannot quite remember what it is but the majority of dolls houses are made to the same scale.. We have a le toy van one and I have bought all sorts of different makes of furniture and they have all been the right size.. Soup dragon on lordship lane has a good selection Of furniture and makes as well as le toy van houses so may help you get some idea of scale.. Also you can get furniture on amazon and the descriptions on there sometimes have the scale in them too.. Hope this helps a bit....
  21. Was open till 2 last saturday
  22. thanks, thats what i thought, and there is room to get child in and out easily with the back rest in?
  23. quick bit of info from all you tripp trapp owners out there.. i am going to buy one for my 15 month old but am a little confused by the baby set/ harness.. obviously i need something to keep her in the chair as she is a climber but when i have looked at the baby set online is it all in one or can i have the bar on without the back rest? and could i get away with just a harness on rather than the babyset? she is used to wearing a harness at mealtimes at nursery.. any advice welcomed as i am really loath to spend an additional ?40 on accessories i don't need as this will be my 3rd highchair thanks
  24. Another one here for Goose Green for all that has been mentioned above. Great leadership, great resources, great facilities, great teachers and a lovely ethos towards ensuring the kids learn well and become responsible learners.. My little boy is in reception and loving it and even had afternoon tea with the head teacher on Friday afternoon for 'outstanding achievements'..
  25. Ahh, i see what you mean now. Ours could always be seen on the website and it gave consultation dates and decision dates and we heard nothing after the decision date so that is when we started chasing it up. Have you got the notification outside of the property as that would indicate they had received it.
