Unless you go shopping to be cheered up and/or entertained by shop staff then this thread is pointless. So what if the assisstant didn't smile-did it spoil the food or even the little jewels? If your mood is so easily influenced you'd better stay away from the news.

  3. Why should it die a death? Because it made a certain set of posters defensive and uncomfortable? Maybe that was/is the point. Self reflection can be a good thing. We don't always need buoying up, support and validation to know we're right.
  4. IMO this is too little and too late. May as well leave it.

I do not know why people are putting up with this behaviour. If this was to happen while I was dining the leart that would happen would be a row with the ignorant parents, and I would refuse to pay my bill unless the management sorted the issue out.
  6. I really want to try the place out, and was looking forward to it. However the nappy issue has put me off as if it were to happen whilst I was there it would ruin the whole experience. Regardless of whether they allow kids or not the nappy issue is just plain wrong, even a health issue maybe. I thought the owners may have posted on here to clarify the matter. If they want the custom of parents etc I would suggest a clear kid policy eg kids welcome between 10am-12, 2pm-4pm, nappy changing facilities must be used.

The quality or otherwise of the food would be spoiled if the management continued to let parents change dirty smelly nappies in the dining area. Maybe the sticky chairs were used as changing mats?! Whether or not there are a lot of kids in ED is not the point-it's the nasty behaviour of the parents that may well spoil an adult licensed venue.
  8. Nappy changing in the dining area-vile. The management should have stopped this at once. I hope they do not increase the number of highchairs etc, to discourage children.
  9. Bullying and harrassment whether on-line or not is about the perception of the perceiver. Thats what counts. I would suggest 'chasing' someone around the forum on different threads/demanding answers from posters/posting immediately in response to a particular poster all of the time/belittling posts/joining other clique posters in same behaviour to a poster are all examples that may constitute bullying and a posters perception of being bullied.
  10. An over the top aggressive post because someone has a different opinion than you.
  11. Using bears for this is just plain cruel. Can't they use cats?

Seen 'the dark side of the forum . . .' thread, AM? Ring any bells?
  13. I wouldn't mind seeing a new mag for the area. SE22 is boring and staid now, full of ads from the same companies etc. A new mag may force SE22 to re-vamp which I think is badly needed.

H was a bullying poster much of the time, and he was always joined by 2-3 regular posters whenever and wherever he posted. Maybe they supported H for fear of being bullied themselves.

This is why I love living in ED :-) You and your "community" will directly benefit from the road safety benefits, as will the wider "community" but you will likely benefit more as you live close by and will use roads frequently. Wanting the improvments but wanting the buses be diverted to other streets and other communities is nimbyism. Moot point anyway as it is going to happen, and all the meeting will say is that there will be minimum disruption, probably no damage caused, and this is who to contact in case of damage etc. I hope there is no damage but a scratched car is better than a car crash/knocked down child.
  16. I recall that the Cherry Tree pub had very bad comments made by EDF posters, and quite nasty hateful comments made about individuals there. That thread was allowed to continue for days.
  17. Stuff and nonsense. Pure nimbyism. Am sure half of the nimbys also want road safety improvements! 3 months max, don't be so selfish.
  18. Hi Flying Pig. Can't wait to sample your food. Is it correct that you are the same owner as Locale? A friend says you are but I'm not sure.
