  1. Thanks for the suggestions, will them a try. I feel a weekend of pottering around in the garden coming on...:))
  2. Well I'm fed up with cats coming and leaving their mess behind all the time and the smell! Yes they do dig up flowers and plants too :'(
  3. Last summer there were hardly any cats around in my garden, but recently there are a least 5 that turn up all the time. They are not neighbours cats. I've tried cat repellent, doesn't seem to work, coffee grounds, still no luck. I would just like to know what works for other people. Thanks. Shazza
  4. Well the GP called me back yesterday evening and when I explained my symptoms she told me to come into the surgery. I live close by so which was ok but when I got there, there was no other patients waiting. I was surprised, I expected to see the place packed out. After 10 mins being there then a couple of patients came in. So, how many slots are available each day. I was so stressed by the end of yesterday, even though I was seen it was a whole day spent waiting around for a phone call.
  5. The DMC is a joke!!! I called the surgery this morning, was told straight off they are fully booked. I was booked for a telephone consultation, I just missed the call by a few mins but the doctor left a message saying I should call back the surgery which I did. Spoke with a receptionist who told me she'd let the doctor know I called. A couple of hours later still no call. I called back and was told to go to the Walk-in surgery in Peckham. I said I prefered to speak to a GP from DMC, so she re-booked me for another telephone consultation this afternoon with another gp. I know whats wrong with me and the prescription I need but I know they can't write this prescription without seeing me. I was reading this thread, and agree there are some good doctors at the surgery and some unhelpful ones too. There are also some good receptionists too but some are quite rude at times. Personally I think the surgery has taken on too many patients and can't cope. So, I'm sitting here waiting for a call, which will probably come around 7pm. I just wanted to have a moan, feels like such a wasted day.
  6. Hi, This is a bit of a long shot, but looking to meet a local fitness buddy for jogging and exercise classes (Zumba etc..). At the moment I seem to be lacking motivation, so thought maybe would be good to meet others. I work shifts and tend to have a day or two off in the week, would be good to meet other shift workers too, but if you're not a shift worker that's ok. Evenings is good too. about me: female/30s, living near Northcross Rd. PM for a chat thanks shazza

  8. I've been DMC for a few years, sometimes good experiences sometimes not so good and very frustrating. Calling up in the morning at 8am to get an appointment is a bit of a lottery! That's if you can get through to someone and when you do to be told "we are fully booked today, call again tomorrow". On some ocassions reception staff not very helpful on the telephone. Good points: Dr Prabhakaran is very good, she listens to what you have to say.
