Talking of cross posting. I'm rather cross because I really had no idea. In wine you say too? Good grief! I shouldn't think a lot of veggies know about that. I wonder how many of them would stop drinking the stuff if they knew. Hmmmm......

How so? It comes from milk. You don't kill a cow or a goat come to that just to get it's milk. So what's the problem? Unless of course you're a vegan and don't touch dairy products but you still wouldn't have to kill for it.

  5. Jeez! It's a one-off party. Mine used to go on for days. Think yourself lucky it only finished at 2.20am. Party poopers!

  10. Nice hat Woof. I think these portable ashtrays should be sold in all tobacconists. Put them at point of sale and people will be buy them especially if they feel they are going to get nicked for littering.
  11. It's only early days yet. Come on give Torres a fecking chance, the guy is world class. He's had injuries and played through the World Cup when not fully fit and got injured again. He's also not had a proper break from football in three years. He's got new players around him to get used to at Liverpool and a new manager too. He'll come good again I have absolutely no doubt about that. As for Nani's performance on Saturday, he was a cheating diving little twat. As Sandperson mentioned here if he stayed on his feet more he'd score more goals, he'd create a few more too. He has the skill so he should use it more instead of diving and trying to get other players sent off. I'm off to White Hart Lane tonight for Spurs v Arsenal. Looks like it's going to be our kids against theirs. Looking forward to watching Sandro's debut and hopefully stuffing the Gooners into the bargain. Come on you Spurs!

  14. I hate litter and I'm a smoker and have used a portable ashtray in the past but I've not seen them anywhere for ages whether for sale or for free. Us smokers have been forced outside to enjoy our habit where there aren't any ashtrays unless you're outside a pub. There are some atop of some litter bins and I always use those if I can, otherwise where else can we put our cigarette butts? Like any normal decent human being I'd rather not drop my cigarette butts on the pavement so does anyone know where I can get hold of portable ashtrays?

  18. True Brendan, but I can't think of any other countries that have a deity coming over here on a state visit.

  20. The Pope, as a citizen of Europe and the leader of a religion with many adherents in the UK, is of course free to enter and tour our country. * However, as well as a religious leader, the Pope is a head of state and the state and organisation of which he is head has been responsible for: 1. opposing the distribution of condoms and so increasing large families in poor countries and the spread of AIDS 2. promoting segregated education 3. denying abortion to even the most vulnerable women 4. opposing equal rights for lesbians, gay, bisexual and transgender people 5. failing to address the many cases of abuse of children within its own organisation. 6. rehabilitating the holocaust denier bishop Richard Williamson and the appeaser of Hitler, the war-time Pope, Pius XII. * The state of which the Pope is the head has also resisted signing many major human rights treaties and has formed its own treaties (?concordats?) with many states which negatively affect the human rights of citizens of those states. * As a head of state, the Pope is an unsuitable guest of the UK government and should not be accorded the honour and recognition of a state visit to our country
