  1. Good idea. I can make that. Anybody else? I'm sure we could take any unwanted books left over to charity shops ourselves.
  2. Have You Seen Your Mother Baby Standing In The Shadows - The Rolling Stones.
  3. Good man and I'll let you have that Spaced boxset.

  5. Cheers to Mrs Keef, Keef. I'd very much like to read that. Perhaps I could borrow it after you've read it.
  6. Anyone who sings James Blunt's You're Beautiful deserves to be shot.
  7. Quickly whizzed through Laurie Lee's A Rose For Winter. Beautifully written, very poetic observations about Spain in the 1940s. Before that I read Two Caravans by Marina Lewycka which was very funny and just finished Iain Bank's Raw Spirit: In Search of the Perfect Dram. Not quite sure what's up next although I've just picked up Bernard Shaw's Cashel Byron's Profession.

You ran? Are you insane? I carried on boozing until the early hours and still made it into the office at 9am so you can just imagine how I'm feeling today. Bloody rough. At least I'm finishing early today and it'll be straight to the pub for a hair of the dog that bit me. Work is the curse of the drinking classes.

Good for you mate. Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.
  10. Pigeons are nothing more than rats with wings. Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!
  11. Good for you Beazo. I'm glad you've done that.
  12. What Admin and Sue said. I find NatashaD's remarks really offensive. How can she be so ignorant? It's not the first time she's spouted such nonsense. witness her stereotypical homophobic comments on the Gay Bar thread. I wonder if she engages her brain before making any comments on this forum, assuming she has a brain that is. I find it hard to believe sometimes that there are still such ignorant bigots out there who think it's funny to abuse people in such a racist manner as the comment hurled at Shu.Kurimu.Sensei's wife.
  13. Count me in too. Defo up for this. I went to the second George Canning one and missed a few afterwards and then it faded out so it would be good to get this up and running again.
  14. Sonny's Letter - Lintom Kwesi Johnson
  15. No, You're a very naughty boy. Don't tell Dulwichdahlia though she'll want us to grass you up. Oh! I see you've already owned up so fair enough.
  16. NatashaD. Obviously you're talking about the Vauxhall Tavern which is more of a club than a bar and there are plenty of other gay clubs in the area. As for you're stereotypical comments about gay men they leave a lot to be desired.
  17. I don't know if anyone caught Nigel Kennedy at the Proms on the telly the other week but if you didn't this is the part I liked best. Jeff is King of the Strings.
  18. How Come - Ronnie Lane
  19. Home Is Where The Heart Is - Lena Lovich
  20. I agree. It certainly didn't look like sweat did it. Looked more like she'd been smothered in baby oil. Ooooh! hubba hubba.
  21. Take The Long Way From Home - Supertramp
  22. No, me neither.

Rules is rules. If you've had a dozen pints you'll be needing a large donor on the way home and no fecking salad! Maybe add a few tomatoes and loads of chilli sauce. If they have those raw green chillies as well whack a few of those in too. Bloody marvellous!
  24. Yup! House Of Saddam is looking pretty good and coming from someone who doesn't watch much telly its definitely getting a thumbs up from me. So far so good.
  25. I've got two on the brain today and fortunately they are both very good. Through The Lonely Nights - The Rolling Stones and Only A Fool Breaks His Own Heart - Nick Lowe.
