  1. House Of Fun - Madness
  2. Footballer, rock star, singer/songwriter/musician, usual crap. Been working on newspapers since I was 16. Just another serf. I considered acting for about five minutes once. I should have been on the stage, I rather like it up there. Would like to retire first thing tomorrow morning and maybe write short stories or novels if and when I could be bothered to.
  3. I think you're probably right about the renting Simon. She was certainly seen in the Dog at around the time she appeared in the Blue Room.

  5. Not such a good night for me Ladygooner. I was there too. I'm be there next Tuesday and I'm certainly hoping for a better result this time round. Atila, I can't believe Ramos will play a weakened side against Sunderland. I wouldn't have thought we have the strength in depth that the Arsenals, Man Utds and Chelseas have. But I guess he just might tweak it a little and say give Defoe start so he can give Keane a bit of a rest.
  6. No Feelings - Sex Pistols
  7. That could have come straight from the pages of the Daily Heil. Perhaps the writer is moonlighting from there. Still, having said that the original crime that she starts the editorial off with is absolutely appalling and unbelievably vicious and nasty. I hope the little shits who perpetrated such a heinous act on the poor girl get what's coming to them.
  8. Rod Stewart covered quite a few Bob Dylan tracks early on his solo career (when he was good) and is one of the few people who actually improved on the originals. Only A Hobo, Girl From The North Country, Mama You've Been On My Mind, North Country Girl, to name a few.
  9. Spanish Eyes - Al Martino (My dad used to like to sing that one).
  10. Any of you Arsenal fans coming to White Hart Lane next week?
  11. Obviously loads of old blues and reggae records, some soul too. But were they any better than the originals? Mostly I'd say no. Red Red Wine written by Neil Diamond and a huge hit for UB40 springs to mind and Andy Williams Can't Get Used To Losing You (written by Bacharach & David) and later a hit for The Beat is another.
  12. They say never go back but when Kevin Keegan first went back as a manager he did pretty well. Got them playing decent football. Promotion from what was then Division One and into the top four of the Premiership and playing in Europe. But what did he win? F**k all. This is a man who claims he hasn't watched a football match in four years since he left Man City! One thing Keegan is good at though is extracting money from his Chairman. There's no doubt he'll be given plenty of money to spend in the transfer market otherwise he'll have one of his hissy fits and threaten to quit. The fans on Tyneside are living cloud cuckoo land. They think they're a big club but they are only through attendances. I can't see this being long-term. If things don't go right for him he'll either walk away or be sacked. I wish their fans luck but can't help thinking it'll all end in tears.
  13. Eyes Without A Face - Billy Idol
  14. Aha ha. Keegan back at Newcastle. The managerial farce continues. How long before he quits or is sacked for being bloody useless? Will he appoint Ant & Dec as coaches?
  15. There is a football thread for this type of thing.
  16. Keegan has been very quick to appoint two new coaches in Ant & Dec.
  17. I once entered the Young Musician of the Year. . . . . . He was absolutely furious.
  18. Plastic Smile - Black Uhuru
  19. Party Time - The Heptones
  20. The Death Of The Party - Blur
  21. Oh cheers for that Incitatus. I was lucky enough to see the Small Faces when they reformed in '77 but, of course it wasn't the same without Ronnie Lane. Also, saw Steve Marriot with Humble Pie back in '74 supporting the Who at Charlton. He had an amazing set of pipes. Bloody awful the way he died. And it's an awful shame that Ronnie Lane isn't with us either so here's another little reminder of the great man. Ron & Ron - Richmond
  22. Down In The Park - Gary Numan
  23. Sympathy For The Devil - Rolling Stones
  24. Absolutely bonkers. A dangerously influential zealot. Tom Cruise is certifiable.
