  1. Indeed Keef and so does the Magdala and the EDT and anywhwere else around here that I've watched football in although like your good self usually stick to the CPT for the footy. Oh! and BTW.....Never The Vale.
  2. It's pretty damned soulless in there. It's okay in the summer when you can sit outside though. It also came last with no votes in the EDF Bar of the Year which might tell you something about it but don't let that put you off. Try it for yourself and make your own mind up.
  3. In that case perhaps they should incorporate a naughty step for children and parents in the pub. If a child misbehaves in Russia is he/she sent to the Naughty Steppe?
  4. Yeah, that's right. Can I have my ball back now please Mister? Huddlestone's a very good prospect. Needs to lose a few pounds. He has a good range of passing and can shoot with both feet as we saw in the recent Fulham match but to mention him in the same breath as Hoddle is a little premature methinks.
  5. Queen Bitch - David Bowie.
  6. Nah! That was Glenn Hoddle.
  7. I agree wholeheartedly with what Sidhue has expressed on here. If you can't keep your children under control then publicans/restranteurs should not only ban the little blighters but ban the parents as well. That way you might get the parents to learn to control their children a bit more and have more respect for other people's feeling and sensibilities. Children should be seen and not heard in places like the pub. High chair or no high chair. If parents can't keep a grip on their child's unruly behaviour then they should be politely asked to leave. And no child should be in such a place at 9pm. 7.30pm should be the cut off point for children.

  10. Something In The Air - Thunderclap Newman
  11. Lizzy I wasn't referring to you. Go back up the thread a bit and you'll see what I was talking about. Highway To Hell - AC/DC
  12. Nice One Cyril. The best left-back we've ever had bar none. I like Gareth Bale though but he's been used on the left side of midfield of late until he got injured of course. I first went there in '68 against Newcastle or Southampton, can't remember which, bit of a blur after all these years but my hero was Jimmy Greaves, a goalscoring genius.
  13. That'll be Boys Keeping Swinging by David Bowie then? Sorry, just a minor quibble. I'll carry on. Another Girl Another Planet - The Only Ones
  14. Ah! Mr Burkinshaw, who's parting quip was "there used to be a football club over there." Sadly, he's just had to retire from Watford due to ill health in the family. A good man. A good footballing man too. I'm hoping to go to both legs. My mate has two seasons tickets at White Hart Lane and I often go with him. We've been going there together since the 60s when we were just kids.
  15. Brass In Pocket - The Pretenders
  16. CitizenEd, what's with the Spuds-u-like? That's not your style at all. You're begining to sound like Atila. As for the the "big two" it should be Big Four and you can include Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal in there. Berbatov will go eventually but I just hope we can hang onto him until the end of the season and maybe just maybe if we win some silverware he might stay but I rather doubt it as a player of his skill and stature needs to be playing in the Champions League. Fat chance of that with Spurs though I'm afraid. Our defence is definitely what needs sorting though.
  17. At last a fellow Spurs supporter. Well done Rifleman harris. I salute you. As for Berbatov though. He's on contract and as long as we are still in the Cups he should stay and help us win them. I agree with what you're saying about being a nursery club for the Big Two though - that was made crystal clear when we sold Michael Carrick to Man Utd a couple of seasons ago but then he hasn't exactly set the place alight up there has he?
  18. My sister had chronic back pains for years, saw a chiropractor and it was sorted in a minute or two with a little manipulation. I think if I'm remembering correctly she had some trapped nerves or something like but she's been fine ever since.
  19. I saw Mr "Hair" this very morning on his way to work. He gets a P13 most mornings on Underhill Rd and is a regular in the EDT. I've always thought his hair resembles a Second World War German helmet.
  20. Paperback Writer - the Beatles
  21. Mockney, I'm not a doctor but have you considered going to see a chiropractor for your "chronic bad back?"
  22. Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles
  23. Boo! to both I'd say.
  24. I don't care what it sounds like I'm loving what that drummer is wearing. Red listick, high heels and fishnets. Phwoar! *Rubs hands up and down thighs in a Vic Reeves style*
