  1. As Poch has said, Tottenham are at the start of a journey, finishing seocnd this season is overachieveing when you look at the age of some of our players (youngest squad/team in the prem), the wage bill etc. A lot of our best players are young (Kane 22, Ali 19, Dier 21, Eriksen 24, Lamela 25, Walker 25, Rose 25). Even the older ones have a good 5/6 or more years left at the top (Dembele 28, Lloris 29, Vertonghen 28, Alderweireld 27). If we can keep this team together, and for the first time in a long time i'm confident of keeping all of our best players/manager at the club and add one or two names, we have the potential to challenge for seasons to come.

  3. so, it's all back routes and doesn't affect bus routes? I can't find anything on any link about bus routes being affected. Is the original post just a load of lies?
  4. Is the library in it's current incarnation always busy, or can it handle a downsize?
  5. Which buses are affected and what are the better ways to improve travel that the petition claims?
  6. In my experience Sue, this is a peculiarity of social media. The people with the most obnoxious online personas tend to be loveable pussycats in real life. I'm an absolute monster in real-life. A right nasty piece of work.

Like everyone is. And for the train services that sell you hot food, occasionally with a distinctive odour, to eat at your seat- you're OK with this too?

  9. I'm just loving the implication that eating on public transport is somehow a white middle class phenomenom
  10. I've never been convinced by Hodgson, but do feel that he's been a little hamstrung by virtue of the fact that he's always had a bang average group of players to work with, til now. I don't think he's been afraid to experiment- he's given 34 debuts during his 4 years.
  11. Of course there's nothing wrong with eating food on public transport- how utterly ridiculous and petty to think otherwise! Trains serve hot food to eat at your seat. Often hot food with distinctive odours. Do the people moaning about food on the bus moan at the train companies for doing so?
  12. So, England's squad for the Euros more or less picks itself if certain players are fit, doesn't it? Goalkeepers: Hart, Forster, Heaton Left Backs: Rose, Bertrand Centre Backs: Smalling, Cahill, Jagielka, Stones Right Backs: Walker, Clyne Midfielders: Dier, Henderson, Milner, Barkley, Alli, Sterling, Lallana Forwards: Kane, Rooney, Vardy, Welbeck, Sturridge My xi for Russia would be: Hart, Rose, Smalling, Cahill, Clyne, Dier, Henderson, Alli, Lallana, Rooney, Kane Barkley and Vardy as impact subs.

  15. Cracked the second one. To be honest, the first one was overdone when it arrived too. Half hard yolk and half still just runny. I know these are little gripes, but at ?4.50 it's the little things that have to be perfect every time. 16. Christ- all that makes me sound incredibly fussy. Badly cooked eggs is a bugbear. It's really not difficult to poach or boil eggs properly.

Duck Egg Cafe does Kedgeree. And Eggs Royale. And pretty much every breakfast option you can think of. However; the quality isn't that of Le Chandelier. They serve Eggs Royale with a hash brown and grilled tomato and the HJollandaise is a little bland. The Eggs Royale in Boulangerie Jade doesn't cut the mustard either- eggs consistently undercooked and last time I tried the Hollandaise was cold. Nothing worse than uncooked egg white sliding all over the plate and diluting the Hollandaise.

  19. Granted- it is v.expensive. TBH i think the whole place is a bit ridiculous. I went in for breakfast for a second time, early-ish on saturday morning. Hands were slightly tied as i was moving flat and wanted something other than a greasy spoon, and none of the other decent places were open yet. Had 2 boiled eggs again and they still haven't learned that eggs keep cooking in the shells after you take them out of the water, unless you plunge them in cold water. This is blinking basic. Net result- when you come to eat the second boiled egg, it's completely hard boiled. And at ?4.50 for two boiled eggs and toast, you gotta get these things right. However; good coffee and great bread.
  20. Are they home made hot cross buns? Or mass produced and bought in?
  21. Genuinely didn't know it still existed. Thought it had already gone the same way as C&A and Woolies.

I get the sentiment- but Barca v Dortmund would be a thing of rare beauty. They're both playing such lovely, different level football. The crispness and accuracy of passing, the first touches, the movement off the ball including pressing, the little tricks and flourishes, the pace. It's all so much better than anything being played in the premier league.

I think the likes of Barcelona, Bayern, JUventus and Dortmund have improved at the same time.
