Strange move for me as Vorm is decent. Will happily take him as back up if he's happy to be. Good keeper for the Europa League and league cup i suppose!

Ben davies medical done and passed, in talks for Vorm as a no.2 keeper. Schneiderlin issuing a come and get me plea, possibly alongside Rodriguez. Hopeful punt on Griezmann although much more likely to go to a champions league side. Wouldn't mind Micah Richards on loan.

Not sure where this thread is with the Messi v Maradona thing, but for me, while he's a great player Messi can't be considered Maradona's equal, and not because of the World Cup argument. Messi has played at one club since he was a little boy, surrounded by players that have grown up with him and kniwing exactly what makes him tick. Maradona excelled in many leagues, on different continents, at many clubs and at international level.

Germany unbeaten in 16 or 17, young team (Lahm is eldest at 30) all looking fresh (except Ozil who continues to amaze with his abject displays....what's happened to him? He even managed to look average in that display last night), a couple of keys players rested for the second half last night, a game-plan perfectly executed when it mattered and an unbelievably strong bench. Their time has come again (he hopes upon hope as is at a wedding this weekend in Germany and will be watching it with a 100 Germans).

The London bus service is essentially excellent. I use it extensively.

there was no way Jack White had any sort of assistance at Hammersmith last night as he didn't even have a set list. And it was outstanding.
-
Luis Suarez is desperate not to be suspended for the latter stages of the World Cup where there's the possibility of Uruguay facing the Germans; he wants to try the shoulder of Lahm.

There's a very fine line between a late/high challenge in the heat of the match and a deliberate attempt to injure someone by fouling them. There's no fine line between deliberately biting someone and not biting someone. I think it's quite an important distinction.

Having had a proper look at the draw and possibilities my few quid will be going on an Argentina v Germany final
-
if you've chosen Belgium for the final based on the games so far, you must know something we don't! I've not looked how it could work out from each side of the draw, but if possible i could see a Germany vs Brazil or Argentina final. However; based on the way they've been playing, we'd be foolish to write off Chile. Wouldn't it be brilliant if there was a new winner.

El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > With Suarez there Uruguay can challenge, without, > unlikely. > Italy are boring but excellent, definitely first > string. I'd argue against both statements. This is a relatively poor Italy team. Apart from Pirlo, they have no players that would get anywhere near the first xi of a top international side. Uruguay have Cavani and Suarez.

Becauae Sterling was completely ineffectual. He's another in a long line of average England speed merchants that can beat a player for pace and have a little trickery, but when it comes to a final ball or using their brain are found wanting. File next to Lennon, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Townsend. He had novelty factor on his side against italy, but once oppo defences work out how to play him, he's pointless. Besides, he's more effective up the middle, but Rooney was there last night and was our best player.

Inspirational Captaincy from Gerrard on the biggest stage once again. What is his problem with England?
-
Rooney's deserved that- our best player tonight
-
We have to see Barkley second half. We need some control in the middle. It was missing in the Italy game and is missing now.

I think it was trying to find room for two attacking central midfielders (Gerrard and. Lampard) that was the problem. Now Gerrard looks comfortable in the deeper lying role, a more attacking all round midfielder like Barclay should fit well. I think we're seeing the novelty factor of Sterling wearing off here. Uruguay look like they have him Sussed on the first half evidence.

I appreciate Henderson's contribution, especially for Liverpool this season, but would love to see Ross Barclay given a proper midfield berth in a slight change of system. For me, RB is one of very few England players with genuine world class potential in the England set up. Poise and guile on the ball.

I disagree wholeheartedly! There, that's better. -
Have bt business infinity (fibre) as my girlfriend works from home. It's very fast (consistent 35mb download speeds) very reliable (guaranteed 99% reliability; had it 16 months with no problem at all) but expensive.
