It's my local and loved the choice of beer at first, but recently it's become very samey (every other beer seems to be an American IPA) and the food is average at best. Shame.

  9. Queue doesn't look that outrageous for Franco manca

  11. To be fair to louisa a large lamb doner from there is about a fiver. But, i'm not sure how that fits with her hatred of fat drenched processed meat?

  14. Perhaps there should be some sort of test at the firework shop counter to see if the intended purchaser is mindless or otherwise?

  17. Bought my bike from Evans and the few times I've used them for servicing Over the years I've found them efficient and cheap compared to the few times I've used a local bike shop. At the local bike shop I've found myself needing several new parts each time I've gone in and servicing has generally taken a week rather than a day compared to Evans. Plus, I've found the staff pretty much always friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I have no reason other than those above to be loyal to Evans, I have no connection to them. I just think that for a large chain they've always got it spot on. I'm sure others have had different experiences but personally I think it's a great addition to the area.
  18. It was excellent. We got there for 6pm, walked straight in and were no queues for bars or food places. Not bad choice of food, good booze-meantime meantime had a couple of stands, also mulled wine and cider alongside a large standard bar. Got busy about an hour later so glad we got food and drinks earlier. Fireworks were fantastic, getting out was no hassle. 40 minute brisk walk back to the flying pig for a pint. WELL worth the entrance fee.
  19. Have been told that the dog was falling to bits and the dulwich estate were the only ones that would touch it.

  23. FairPlay jenf. Any chance of seeing any Rogue Amber on the shelves? Also, what kind of records are you likely to stock?
  24. I very much like the sound of it- but hijacking a thread of competitor is a little low.
