Radio 1 always had a handful of decent shows- but generally at indecent times. I catch the end of Steve Lamacq sometimes before Mark Riley's show, and he still thinks he's doing the evening session from Radio 1- it's devoid of anything remotely interesting. But, if it means the station survives long-term then so be it. I find that if you don't listen before 7pm, except on Sundays, then you can't go wrong. Although, i've always had a weakness for Lauren Laverne, but have never really listened to her show. I find that listening to Marc Riley, Tom Robinson, Gideon Coe, Tom Ravenscroft, Stuart Maconie's Freakzone, Cerys Matthews, Jarvis Cocker (is he still on?), Huey Morgan (most of the time), Craig Charles, Iggy (but I think he's gone now) is guaranteed to enhance your life.
