  1. Aah! Congratulations, he's gorgeous! OC sounds scary, hope all is alright now. Not sure if there is a whatsapp group for first timers but you are very welcome to join ours if you don't mind some toddler chat too, just pm Alexia (Admin) and ask her to add you if you like.
  2. We're still black on Dunstans.
  3. Hope everyone with newborns is doing well and those still pregnant are not too fed up! We had our second little girl at home on Monday, she is divine and very chilled so far, although maybe we are in the honeymoon period and about to get a massive shock ;-) Jo completely identify with feeling like a cow! Kaz it sounds like you are doing brilliantly, 15 days early must have given you a shock, hope you aren't feeling too grotty. Lucy
  4. We had ours on Monday too! (Apparently it was a full moon.) A little girl, born at home, we have called her Christabel. Pea is not 100% on board just yet, sure it will come. Was about a million times easier than #1 so keep eating those dates Ginny! Congratulations to H and Philippa, can't wait to meet your new arrivals and love to everyone waiting. Have pm'ed you Alexia! X
  5. Aah brilliant. Thanks Harriet. Sorry, I am clearly not reading thread properly on phone. See you all then. Jo, that's wonderful news, and I'd say 8 hours is pretty decent going! Hurrah for you and Sienna and big brother Max! I've got two dates to go.
  6. Mo just saw your post, sorry you are/were back at the hospital, that's rotten. Edward is a beautiful name. Excited about seeing everyone tomorrow. Where's good to meet? Park cafe? Cafe G as seems fewer toddlers coming? 10am work for all? X
  7. I've just bought DD the tidlo tidlington wooden dolls house which is sweet, Furniture sets come separately though (about a tenner each.)
  8. Oh no! Poor Hannah! Hope she's not suffering too badly Sally. Jo I think you need to have words with your cervix, a similar thing happened to one of my friends, but she then had really straightforward 8 hour induction so wasn't all bad. Hope your baby makes an appearance just before you are due to be induced but have childcare sorted. Still no signs here either, despite excessive date consumption. Hope I don't have to resort to floor scrubbing to get this baby moving. Pea didn't come until I cleaned the skirting boards. Ruth I'm keen for weds morning meet too and should be toddler free as well. Hopefully newborn pheromones from Zach will work their magic! X
  9. Hurrah. Congratulations Annabelle, lovely news. I am finding it very heartening that all these older siblings are taking to their new baby brothers and sisters so well!
  10. Sorry if I missed meet up today. No baby here yet either... I have a final fling of lunch and cinema planned next Friday as Pea's at playgroup and it's my EDD but around rest of the week if anyone fancies doing anything. Alexia/anyone else, I'm Toddler-less on weds if you feel like a coffee, otherwise with Pea rest of the week and keen for any park outings! Jo hope your sweep is a success and we get a new baby update this weekend. X
  11. Lovely to see you guys today. Getting excited after seeing those snuggly newborns. Sorry I had to rush off and missed saying goodbye to everyone. Definitely up for toddler time/big scream soon!
  12. Yay! Sounds like we should have a good crowd. Especially excited about meeting some newborns. See you all there. Allure you are very welcome if you don't mind toddlers, mine is a marauder but she's at nursery today so you're safe :-)
  13. Oh wow Mo, double water birth then, how lucky! :-) Congratulations to you too, Sally, I love hearing about these new arrivals and chilled deliveries and it's great to know the Kings birth centre pools are up and running. Hope both big sisters are adjusting well. Pea has put all her dolls in her toy oven. Hopefully this isn't a harbinger of things to come ... ;-)
  14. Ohhh and happy Easter everyone!!! Anyone else making the most of the best chocolate eating excuse ever?
  15. Yay Alexia! :-0 at your unplanned homebirth! I'm glad you had Oakwood there and your DH didn't have to step into the breach alone. Huge congratulations, can't wait to meet Laura. Hurrah for another example of the advantages of date eating for our very unscientific sample. Ginny I am going to see if Khans do a bumper pack on the cheap ;-) Hope all are well.
  16. I'm really sorry you've had such bad experiences. It sounds really stressful for you and your son. Personally, my experience of nursery has been great, although of course it's not for all children, and I think you have been really unlucky with the care your DS experienced. I hope 1 on 1 care works out better for you and your son feels happier again soon. He is clearly loved at home and I think toddlers are actually pretty resilient (and live in the moment!) so hopefully he will stop worrying soon.
  17. Lovely Shanie from mani pedi wax club http://themanipediwaxclub.com/treatments/pedicure-menu/ comes to your house if you ever want pampering while your baby naps (or runs riot demanding fireman Sam like my toddler.) She's great, doesn't mind if you need to breastfeed/make bottles mid-pedi. Understand you prob want to get out though if you are child free! Have a great afternoon. :-)
  18. Hope we see you next time Suzie. Hmm that's interesting that there was a correlation for you with dates/good labour, maybe I should eat twixes too just to be on the safe side ... ;-)
  19. Lovely to see you all and the toddlers this morning, hopefully we can have another meet up soon. Harriet told me a tip from her MW about eating dates in the last few weeks of pregnancy. Googled and found this research: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/21280989/ (N.B have no idea if this was paid for by dried fruit lobbyists) Anyway, have duly added some to my Ocado order! Wishing anyone due in next couple of weeks swift and easy labours, and newborns who sleep of course!
  20. Obvs it's too far for OP, but I've been really happy with Forest Hill Rd Group practice as well. They have seen both DD and me on the same day via their duty Doctor triage system. Receptionists have been polite and helpful IME, and I don't reckon it's the easiest of jobs. Oakwood (their midwives) are fabulous.
  21. UKdeal there is another thread for second time round mums further down the page for park meetups etc. with older toddlers in tow. A couple of dates have been put forward and would be lovely to see you. We post here and crash the bigger meetups without children too though. :-)
  22. Ruth, that's brilliant news about Zach's safe arrival. Huge congratulations. Was thinking of you last week. Hope Pea follows Oscar's excellent example. ;-)
