  1. Ruth Kudzi - if you google her you'll find her business
  2. If your car has been repaired by your insurance company then your losses could be your excess, loss of use and any insured losses which your insurance company wish to reclaim. A claim would be a whole heap of hassle for very small returns in my view.
  3. It's great. My daughter went through KG (only 1 term as she is a June birthday and they had a different system) and is now in pre-rec. Lovely school with a great circle of parents so a real community feel. Get in there as much as possible to get to know other families and get going with playdates asap so your little one settles in quickly and gets accustomed to their new surroundings.
  4. Yeah let's send more people to prison so they learn how to be better criminals and find it harder to enter or renter normal society because they'll find it nigh on impossible to get any kind of job. Great plan.
  5. I thought you were only supposed to turn them off for rear facing car seats? Be aware though that in cars where a passenger airbag is fitted the seatbelt is likely to have adjusted torsion to reflect the presence of the airbag so that any passenger in such a seat may be less well restrained in the event of a collision if the airbag has been turned off.
  6. We have your chandelier (the exact same one possibly) and might be willing to sell. Just need to talk to husband.

Some rules are > just meant to be broken! It wouldn't have been easy if the guy was anything other than the rampant self-publicist that he so plainly is. I think he has very much enjoyed his moment in the spotlight and certainly been pretty liberal about his tv interviews and the suchlike. And the Headteacher didn't decide that he couldn't take his child on this 'amazing' holiday, rather they decided that those circumstances weren't exceptional and levied a ?60 fine which matey could easily have paid and still been in pocket from the reduced cost of his holiday. No one asked him to drag the LEA to a Mags Ct, that was his choice.

It's just entitlement for me. THIS!!
  9. Serious about tennis runs pre-school tennis classes in Hillside Gardens Park at 2pm on a Friday. They have a website and a facebook page.
  10. Hi there, My daughter is in pre rep and had a term in kindergarten. She loves it and the kg teachers are very special and lovely. The new head, Mrs Telford, is vibrant and a great energy around the place. She's been in the school forever so knows the school really well but has brought a new feel to school which is brighter. The kg assessment involved a play date for my daughter in the kg room. She loved it. All the best.
  11. I want to meet this cat: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?28,1796339
  12. We have wet system ufh in our kitchen/family room with amtico on top which is one of the best conducting materials and the room is v cold although it does have to cope with a chimney and cold single glazed patio doors. All of the draught issues are fixable but still think the ufh is not hardcore enough without additional heating.
  13. Sorry to jump on this but would you mind sharing details of the class your daughter used to do in Nunhead - i think my little one might like it.
  14. Always say thank you to all bus drivers.
  15. Our daughter was 3yr 1mth when our second arrived and our microlite twofold with bassinet and travel system has been amazing. Integrated buggy board and optional toddler seat mean you have loads of options and it folds so easy to transport and take on holiday.
  16. Just got back but from phuket side, again compelled by the weather. Have heard brilliant things about Koh Mak if you're after quiet island stuff. The north (chiang Mai, Pai, kanchanaburi) all beautiful/moving and worth a visit.
  17. Go as far as you can with a baby that age as long flights are a real pain (though still doable) with older babies. We have just been to Phuket with our 5 moth old and it was great. Fly direct and stay at the slate hotel which is 5 star 10 mins from the airport (though we never heard a plane)
  18. My husband is doing one on one swimming lessons with Vicky at west Norwood leisure centre at the moment and very much enjoying it. from memory, it's about ?35-40 per hour.
  19. Difficult to envisage a situation in which an employment tribunal would find a nanny was self employed unless you genuinely allowed them to send anyone to do the job. Tread carefully with this otherwise you could end up in hot water because of the employment protection the nanny loses by agreeing that status. The nanny payroll companies can probably help.
  20. Sadly (after a drawn out attempt to register) Judith told me yesterday that the Kings milk bank is moving so not accepting any new donors for the next few months. Guys and st thomas is prob nearest place now.
  21. There's beach volleyball at the national sports centre in Crystal palace.
  22. There's a mum and baby one on Tues afternoons on Effra Parade in Herne Hill. I haven't been yet as only 3 weeks pp and have toddler in tow until September.
  23. Yes! I use Suki Chung of www.blissful-thinking.com who is brilliant.
  24. Yes, we can afford it because it comes from the income we get on the flat... I think only time will tell what impact this has on the market generally and, as Burbage points out, anyone who is truly placed in difficulty by this can sell their property and have out of the situation that way. In that way, there's not a great difference between this and any other investment which turns rotten.
  25. We just used fantastic cleaners (the company is called that) and they were great.
