  1. Maybe park at the top of Landells Rd and walk the 10 or so yards round the corner?

Thou knowest not what thou hast started. Hang on, 'thou' is informal. Do we know each other well enough, or is it like it was in France or Germany when I was a girl and we ask permission?
  4. Or we could just assume the OP knew what they (I know!) intended to convey and chose the words for a reason.
  5. Ignore my cynicism - attack of forum fatigue. This section attracts a lot of covert market-making.
  6. Are you by any chance related to the previous recent thread on this topic, and will this one be followed by another under a new name next week promoting a new local business?
  7. Trip to the theatre ruined by people yakking and troughing. Friday night audience come up to town for the evening, determined to get their money's worth, laughing at everything regardless of whether funny or not. Seats clearly not designed for 21st century fat people. No 12 bus home next to man with stinking MacDonalds and drunk people with amusing ringtones. Wish I'd stayed stayed at work.
  8. Without wishing to appear rude, how do you know what eyeballs taste like?
  9. I didn't get any green ones. I had all the fruit flavours except canteloupe, watermelon and lime. Looking back, the lychee ones did taste a bit funny, but who knows what a lychee's supposed to tasted like?
  10. I'm so bored of tattoos. I wish people could be made to cover them up in public.
  11. Seriously, though, are there any crimes where you'd feel comfortable saying the victim was asking for it?
  12. Platform 15 at London Bridge in the rush hour.
  13. What's tragic is people are more likely to argue with your signature than your post.
  14. Not sure a gluten-free diet is good for you. For dinner this evening I had a big bag of jelly beans. No gluten but I feel a bit sick now.
  15. Goodness, what a smug little clique this section can be. Not a wonder no one bothers with the Lounge any more. The other sections seem to be doing as well as ever so it's not that the forum has had its day. Maybe Admin should rename this 'the section for people who joined before 2009 and those who've done stint on Admin get preferential voting rights'.
  16. Haven't been to Clapham for a while since I noticed it was always a pound or so more than the Ritzy. Prices at the Ritzy have gone up quite a bit the last couple of years so perhaps it has caught up since. I just kept noticing as I was out of work at the time. Still good value though.
  17. Maybe you could get it sponsored by Boden. It would be more fun if the theme was 'come as your forum persona'. Some people might need a costume change though.

I tend to get mental images more than voices. For you I get Mr Ben, obviously (nice hat, funny walk). Jah Lush I see with dreadlocks (I know), Jeremy in corduroy (sorry sorry), Seabag in a grey hoodie (you need a shave), ???? with a hint of D-Day in Animal House (is that handgun registered?). That may be why I found the forum drinks a bit of an anti-climax, now I come to think of it.
  19. Headlines referring to an unnamed celebrity. Always means it's someone you've never heard of.
  20. Could also try rubbing with white bread which might help remove marks.
  21. Bit rich having a pop at a group of people for giving their kids pretentious names at the same time as calling Forest Hill South Dulwich yourself.
  22. You can sit outside the library - they don't turn the WiFi off. Otherwise you could try the Crown & Greyhound in the village. If you don't mind going further, there's the upstairs bar at the Ritzy. Depending on where you are you might also be able to pick up a BT/Fon hotspot at home, which for a day costs about the same as one and a half coffees and it's more reliable than the library. That's what I tend to do these days when I work from home.

I heard that a cinema would give LL full high street status, meaning higher business rates which would be likely to force smaller local traders out. Anyone know more about this?
  24. Blue Brick cafe off North Cross Road is nice. If you haven't been to Brixton Village, one of the place in there is completely GF.
