Call big-nosed people > Nellie? Call victims of Thalidomide Stupid Flids?> " > What on earth are you getting at? ....Hugeonot:Behave Yourself!...The comments that I have marked have no relation whatsoever to the other points about possible genetic differences!..Of course, everyone will agree, quite rightly, that only a fool or moron would shout out these comments to anyone, let alone anyone who "might" be considered disadvantaged or "different"..... Funnily enough just b4 I replied I thought I would read the latest comments from Jeremy and his first four lines could have been written by me!..It irritates me enormously when people refuse to accept "the bleedin' obvious" and then when they DO reluctantly accept their is some creedence as to differences not only move the goalposts but take the whole ruddy pitch awayB)B)...it says a great deal about their psyche in my opinion,if truth be told. Its impossible in my opinion to have lived in.say,London for 5 Decades(like myself) and NOT noted clear differences from people all living in the same areas and exposed to the same lifestyle in roughly the same circumstances(with individual differences) and yet there are clear distinctions which,well-meaning,people are, literally, frightened to acknowledge as it might lead to something deeper and more negative, which is not the intention here.

What do you > want me to ask him? ....taper,at your convenience could you ask him if he had 1,000 Jewish and 1,000 Asiatic and 1,000 Afro-Caribbean and 1,000 White-British and 1,000 Chinese Students who would expect (as a group) to be the fastest over Sprint Distances such as 100/200 Metres. Also why does he think this is and how does he reach whatever conclusion he has made. Thanking You In Anticipation. Tony.
  3. I would be interested to hear from any long-term Teachers in London, particularly Sports Teachers...
  4. If you know his address, then Yes! My Friend!
  5. Thanks so much for sharing this Beautiful Video. Absolutely wonderful>:D<
  6. i'll ask it a little more quietly...
  7. Every Finalist in every 100 Metre Race since 1980 has been Black,I'm led to believe. These Guys come from 4 Main Areas i.e USA/Canada/GB/Jamaica...With the exception of Jamaica the overwhelming majority of Guys in the other 3 Countries are not Black. So if it is about "Population Groups" in the other 3 Regions how does ANYONE explain why it is ONLY the Black Guys who are successful in the 100 Metres if it has little or nothing to do with Genetics?..Obviously its mathematically impossible to have every Finalist for the last 7 Olympics in the 100 Metres to come from a minority of People Worldwide.
  8. Obviously in some Sports its all about Role Models and Culture and opportunity, like Tennis in GB with its limitations. Can't see any reaso why you couldn't have a Top-Class Black Cyclist, for example.
  9. No white man has reached the olympic 100m final since 1980. ....Jeremy wrote that earlier. If thats true that The USA/Jamaica/GB/Canada are all seperately producing constant brilliant Black Sprinters while no-one else is able to produce ANY decent White sprinter out of the endless millions of Whites worldwide surely ends any possible debate that there ARE differences. The odds that in 1980 that ALL 8/10 were Black and in 1984 ALL 8/10 Finalists were Black AND 1988 Ditto AND 1992 Ditto AND 1996 Ditto AND 2000 AND 2004 is so many Trillions/Billions/Zillions to One that it is almost incalculable and yet some still think "Nah! its nonsense!":))
  10. Out to work now.I'll contribute more either later tonight or at the weekend as this fascinates me. "Population Groups" taper?.Please elaborate.Thanks.
  11. taper:To continue for a moment..If you went into ANY Inner London School where there were 50% Black and 50% White Children and every child had to Race the 100 Metres and, say, there were 100 kids a year with The Winner earning 100 Points down to the last kid gaining one point. If you tallied up EVERY School in Inner London I'm absolutely certain that "as a Group" the Black kids would Win the 100 Metres every time with no exceptions...however if the Race was run over a Mile then the results would be much closer,to say the least. Do you agree?(tu) or (td)

And what of the middle distances? Coe, > Ovett used to dominate; then north africans; > before them Finns and Czechs. What does this say > of racial traits? Chuff all. The notion of race > is biolgically meaningless. .....taper:You can NOT seriously believe that!...I KNOW Alan Wells won it..I'm an old ++++ who saw his first Olympics in Tokyo,1964...I did NOT say it was "impossible" for White Guys to Win the "sprints"..empthsis on the "sprints"..I vividly recall the halcyon days of Coe/Cram/Ovett the Middle-Distance English Triumverate!...doesn't that show you something?..That were experts at Middle Distance NOT sprints...The Kenyans/Ethopians had a massive advantage because of the "Altitude"...not that I've got an "Altitude" problem:))
  13. pk Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Tony.London Suburbs Wrote:.She(fresh from Winchester to London) > > so linda thought black men weren't better dancers > and then 20 years later she thought otherwise, and > then what? .....The significance pk was the first comment above..1970's Winchester(and probably even now) was NOT Multi-Racial so she just based her view NOT on observation or perception or First-Hand experience over a long period BUT on an idealistic, simplistic view that we are "all the same"..THEN she acquired 20 years of "Observation/Perception/Experience" and "miraculously".forgive me:)) she formed a completely different view...The first was "rose-tinted" idealogy the second, final view was pragmatic! THATS "then what!"..B)
  14. Funnily enough Sue I have just covered your point.Naturally everyone should be looked at as an individual and its essential to have an open positive mind about everyone. That des not however stop me from noting that as a Group there ARE differences between Men and Women, for example.
  15. pk:To avoid any ambuiguity I'm saying that based on my 54 years experience its BLATANTLY obvious to me that certain Groups(as a whole) have certain attributes...The White Guys that I have seen who can "bust a move" are the "exceptions" to the White mass,sadlyB)..the Black Guys who can not dance well and with "natural" rhythm are very much a minority.Thats just one example in what I am saying. Naturally one has an open mind and takes EVERYONE on their individual merits but I have lived my life over the decades by clearly noting differences between Men(as a Group) and Women(as a Group)..as another example of "stereotyping"...
  16. I'll tell you a true story pk..In around 1977 I met a Girl(around 20) at work called Linda..I said Black Guys(as a group) are obviously better dancers. She(fresh from Winchester to London) saod NO!(Having met probably seen 5 Black Guys in her whole life).I said to her "if I meet you in 10 years you will have changed your tune"..Well I met her 20 years later and reminded her...she laughed and said "No Contest!"..B)
  17. pk Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > so you think all black men run fast (and no white > do) and all black men are poor at swimming (and no > white men are) .....Co-incidently pk I have just answered that on my next "Dancing?" Point! By The Way if you disagree roughly half the 100 Metre initial entrants are White for The 100 Metres do YOU want a juicy FIVE-TO-ONE Odds of HALF the Field!..If you TRULY believe there is no difference(AS A GROUP with exceptions) Then PLEASE let me know...You can Bet as much as you want My Friend>:D<
  18. I was just going to say "and next some fool is going to suggest that AS A GROUP Black Dancers are more rhythmic than their White counterparts(YES! There ARE "exceptions" in each group) but as a whole is someone SERIOUSLY suggesting that if you did a study of Millions of Dancers then The Black Group wouldn't win by a Country Mile??? Thats genuinely Tillie what I was about to writeB)
  19. No thinking about it,I will be The Bookmaker and you can have 5/1 ALL The White Athletes combined in The 100 Metres..and as a "once-in-a-lifetime" """SPECIAL OFFER"" You can back The Black Swimmers at 5/1 COMBINED to Win more Medals than their White Counterparts...I KNOW I'm too generous but hey! the Dictionary clearly states "the belief that there are characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to each race. "......
  20. BJL Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > NatashaD - this dictionary definition of racism is > pretty much the same as mine:> > racism > ? noun > 1 the belief that there are characteristics, > abilities, or qualities specific to each race. ....Well thats ridiculous!..Take The Olympics I'm just about to back all the White Europeans Runners in the 100 Metre Sprint and all The Black Swimmers in every event...obviously there is NO difference:)-D > 2 discrimination against or antagonism towards > other races. > > What else could it mean?
  21. Like Napoleon she's 'armless.....which Dickensian Novel was this taken from?...Sounds like she lives in a Bleak House and as fallen on Hard Times...
  22. As a a survivor of Early 1970's Office life onwards I just have to laugh:))....Mixed sexes in the Office back then in many cases and,in general, members of each sex slaughtered the other one(individually and collectively) and I'm struggling to recall anyone ever taking offence, the only real exception came when I worked for Southwark Council in The 1990's there were plenty of People there only too ready to take offence as I recall.Much "tip-toeing" and walking on eggshells went on. Wasn't involved(as a mere Temp.) personally but witnessed a few things.

You're safe,Bruv...
