  1. As Monkey says, the officers will usually come over pretty much straight away - they'll ask lots of questions, so keep a note of when it starts but call them during the noise so they can come and hear it for themselves. They were great when we had similar trouble.
  2. I'm yet to figure that one out! I'm sure it'll be a backdrop of bare walls and exposed brick or something.
  3. It was a Garnier Nutrisse ad with Holly Willoughby - we had a letter about it a week before the shoot. The crew were very friendly and considerate, doing everything they could to minimise disruption on the street itself - it was actually quieter than a typical Brick House day!
  4. Same problem here! Got a big bundle yesterday all bound with rubber bands, so quite obvious it had been piling up.
  5. Spoke to Virgin Media just now and they're hoping for the fix time will be sooner, they just have to cover the possibility that it'll take longer. Like Penguin68 says, it's not just VM. Our neighbours on Sky and BT are having a lot of trouble too.
  6. There's an East Dulwich Mums group on Facebook and someone recently posted that their husband has started a company doing airport transfers with kids in mind, with car seats, etc. I don't know them but sounded good! The number's 07771331553 or email [email protected].
  7. Ahh, thank you, S! Actually had a midwife appointment today and got to hear baby's heartbeat so I'm feeling loads calmer :) King's is great but we kind of felt like we were just research samples on a conveyor belt at our scan. Hope you ladies had a better experience. Got lovely Easter plans that include first ever baby shopping! Well, window shopping but still :) How about you? x
  8. Hello, ladies! I'm so excited to have found this group :) I'm a first timer due 27th August living near Goose Green. Feeling really good in general but like sdow687 I do worry a lot. We didn't have a good experience with our 12 week scan and ended up in the hellish two week wait for Harmony test results to come through. Everything's fine but I know I'm going to start freaking out soon, with the next scan only a few weeks away... Is everyone here at King's for the birth? F x
  9. Hello Fergus! How's it all going with the new location? Did you sign on the dotted line for Zenoria Street in the end?
  10. Welcome, Fergus and Sharmin! Thanks for addressing some of the concerns shared here, it's very much appreciated. Wishing you lots of luck in signing the lease.

  12. Seabag and ladyruskin, I understand you're being careful with privileged information, but I don't suppose you could tell us whether it's the kind of place that's open late?
  13. Hi Mr Barber, Apparently ED Warehouse is under offer - any word on what it might be? Thank you!
  14. Hello Mr Barber, Same old me, same old question - any news on the plans for ED Warehouse on Zenoria St? Thank you! Friya
  15. Just had a wonderful cut at Myla & Davis with the lovely Oscar. I had a major re-style, cutting off and donating my long hair to charity and they were really accommodating with all the extra faff of sorting that out for me. And I got a gorgeous cut that I love. Everyone took really good care of me and I'll definitely be back!
  16. This happened outside my house a few weeks ago, around noon. I heard a woman shouting at someone and a drunk man's voice saying "I just needed to go, alright?" and "Well, stop looking at it, then!" I saw the guy finish peeing against our front garden wall and then pass by our window, privates still hanging out. He was scruffily dressed and clearly drunk, so probably not the same guy.

Does that mean development has begun and it'll definitely be a restaurant or bar? Is there anywhere I can lodge my own objections? Thank you for the update!
  18. Hello James, Any news on 1 Zenoria Street? I can't seem to find any planning requests online and no notices have gone up... Are the landlords still pushing for a restaurant? Thanks!

That's exactly what I do, I ask them them to move so I can make actual use of the equipment. My point is that I shouldn't have to. Firstly, they should be using the machines, not wasting their parents' money by sitting there texting and chatting. Secondly, the staff should be keeping an eye out for this and telling them to move on. I am complaining about this specific thing, not about teenagers in general, many of whom are actually there to work out. I wasn't aware that they're only allowed in at certain times - good to know.
  20. There's a sign up at reception about the 30 minute rule but you're right, it's not very prominent. By the way, if you read my response I'm not complaining about teenagers hogging machines. I'm complaining that many of them are using said machines to just sit there and text or chat with their mates. There are plenty who are actually doing something, I don't have a problem with them.
  21. Hello Mr Barber, Any developments on the ED Warehouse property and whether the landlords are getting their restaurant application through? If not, is there anywhere online I can check for updates without bothering you on here? As you can tell from my forum name, I do have a vested interest in what pops up there! Many thanks.
  22. You do have to book well ahead to get into the classes but they're good when you get there. For the gym though, it's infuriatingly overcrowded these days (greedily oversubscribed) and you do have to wait around a lot for treadmills and the other popular machines. They're also very disorganised there. The reception staff are often (not always) quite clueless, the staff who hang around the gym supervising do sod all when you have groups of mooching teenagers sitting on the machines and texting for half an hour or people hogging machines despite the 30 minute rule they've put in place. My husband talked to reception about the overcrowding and they said they're hoping it'll calm down soon when all the new year's resolutions start tailing off. It was a lot better from October to Xmas last year, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.
  23. Thank you for the reply, James. Cloud cuckoo land indeed - a restaurant would be intolerable, so let's hope the idea gets kicked out again.
  24. Hello there. I'm a senior copywriter for a top multinational company and I do freelance copywriting, editing and proofreading during my evenings and weekends. Please forgive me.
  25. Following on from the ED Warehouse thread, any updates as to what's replacing it would be much appreciated. ED Warehouse has been wonderful to live near so there are some big shoes to fill.
