TheCat replied to natty01295's topic in The Lounge
They're all whinging about the press misrepresenting him (funnily, just like trump supporters) so I went to his website and looked at his 10 policies direct. The first one cost ?500bn....fuck off.... -

So genuine questions.... Many of Mrs cats friends on Facebook have been loudly proclaiming Corbyn as the saviour. Now I've held my tongue. And we've all seen the 'how many policies do you disagree with' post, where all his policies are very kind and hard to disagree with. But of course the question is, who the fucks gonna pay for it? So to the question. Can any Corbyn people tell me what I'm missing? -
Gotta say I'm with fox here. If caught carrying a knife mandatory sentences.....

Of course we'd heard many tales of wonderful home nations players who were proved to be myths after a tour down south. So we all knew he'd get a reality check. Well didn't we all eat our words. And pretty quickly too in the first test. Without doubt my favourite number 13 of all time. I can't say favourite centre, as Timmy Horan has the 12 jersey locked down in my dream team.

Agreed. 100%. I guess from a press perspective when there's already been 5 fatal stabbings in London this week it doesn rate a mention. Which is pretty shocking and upsetting really... https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/apr/28/man-found-fatally-stabbed-on-london-bus-marylebone -

Sure its a touch more expensive, but I'm happy to pay a few extra quid for someone that can improvise if traffic/raodworks etc....

I think the percentage of people around here who struggle at roundabouts is evidence that a bit more study is needed for most.... -

Perhaps i've missed something, in which case I'm all ears...but countries like Mexico, morroco, south Korea and south Africa all have free trade agreements with the EU, and none of them are within the jurisdiction of the ECJ.....

I think this is the type of 'ridiculous scaremongering' that Robbin is referring to.... Its funny how many remainers claim brexit is a 'leap into the unknown', yet without a shred of irony, state with certainty that it will be a 'disaster'..... This is a huge and complicated issue that has clearly divided a nation, so surely there must be some positives AND some negatives on both sides? But to read comments on popular and social media alike, one would think that to many Remainers there is NOT ONE redeeming feature about leaving, and to leavers there is NOT ONE redeeming feature to remaining... We all just need to step back from shouting about how the other side are 'out of touch' and 'have no idea', whatever side one is on and appreciate that there are actually merits on both sides of this argument, if we just take the time to consider them....and the sun will continue to come up, and the power will still be on, whether we leave or whether we stay....

Attempted child kidnapping by Goose Green Primary
TheCat replied to LD929's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
need to be careful on the rumour mill here. as far as im aware the local schools have only sent a notice out about the one incident near goose green school. This warning would have been sent out by DVIS to parents, as all local schools and nurseries would have done. So perhaps someone getting confused about where this was......not saying there wasnt a second attempt at all, one is shocking enough...but im wary about 3rd hand info off a facebook post...about a second incident.... -
Pooping dog on camera - do you know it or owner?
TheCat replied to woodstock's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
This perhaps should go in the 'things which cause rage thread'...but anyway... As a resident of the badly affected Woodwarde/Beauval/Dovercourt area, myself and Mrs Cat do a pretty good job negotiating the dog sh!t minefield on a daily basis, particularly with baby in buggy and unruly toddler in tow. But this week, after successfully negotiating a 2 mile walk, we missed the steaming deposit which was left immediately outside our front gate, and managed to track it all the way up the front path, through the door, and into the hallway..... Now, dog owners, I dont know if you've ever been on hands and knees cleaning up someone else's dog's sh!t from your front hallway floor, buggy wheels and front path before (also with a toddler hovering asking 'What are you doing daddy?', and 'can i touch the poo?')....but im pretty f#cking sure its a lot easier if you just pick up your damn dog's sh!t as soon as he does it..... -
Is this the end of shared homes in Southwark?
TheCat replied to ivanhoeshmivanhoe's topic in The Lounge
Dont worry, living in a share house with 3 others will grow pretty old, pretty quick...and in a few years you'll look back and wonder how you ever thought it was a good idea....
