  1. For many, Peter Green's was the only. Man of the World http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vyPnIYbMPs&feature=related
  2. Well, there's all sorts on t'interweb, eh, but I think your chances of getting something (image of you) removed from such a site is pretty much nil. So best to be aware.
  3. Going by that, Gio is definitely fictitious :)
  4. sophiesofa, not sure who you should call... I do know that there are websites out there that are kind of flasher-central, where they, flashers, exchange info about tactics with women and children, and where they post photos of reactions of victims (or rather photos of the offending part in the same frame as the woman/child and his/her reaction). Blurgh. So people should be aware that the flasher might be trying to take that kind of photo to share with his fellow offenders.

Sorry DJKQ, but you have just made my evening!! I'm kind of thinking that you must be in a parallel universe... The universe where Labour Councillors Are Not Allowed To Post :)
  6. peeps, he's on my street :-(

Why not try Virtual Norwood. Matt VN will be more than happy to oblige. :)

Or indeed, as the OP suggested, move to Sevenoaks :)

Indeedy, who wouldn't be lonely in Sevenoaks, eh?

We've had so many this last year (some lasting for weeks) BUT it is not your patch. So it's really a more general question: what's happened to the old-style temporary bus stops? I mean, they used to be, and now they are not.

Likewise, I believe the only PM I have quoted was (this evening) the one that said "@#$%& off" (without quotation marks), which unfortunately appears to be pretty standard fare these days...and which has also been forwarded to mods. There were others...
  12. HLL, when you say that people should @#$%& off, could you clarify a little? I'm particularly interested in the Sevenoaks perspective. Sevenoaks is, after all a community (albeit, not this one) and deserves some.... something. I'd also be interested in your views on lies: who's telling them, what they are etc. We'd really be up for you world view, so to speak. In order to be able to frame your comments, you understand.
  13. Sue, yes I promise! Hold me to it. :) Workshop is being co-organised by the Soil Association and various food co-op people/orgs.
  14. I'm in the same process myself. 97-yr-old grandmother, suffering for some years from vascular dementia, multiple strokes etc., and she has already been through the mill of part-time day-care, at-home care with nursing help etc., and now the family is just about unable to cope any more. Unfortunately the placement will not be in the UK (but in her country, without much of a public social service). But I'd really welcome any advice on homes, what to be looking out for.
  15. Hi James, we have roadworks yet again on this stretch of LL ( maybe 7th time in a year?) with yet again consequent closure of bus stops. One upon a time there used to be this thing called temporary bus stops. They'd put a temp bus stop, on a post, resembling a lollipop, further along the road. Now we just seem to get whole strings of bus stops closed without any replacement (and they are often not opened again for weeks after the roadworks end). I wonder if this is a TfL thing...
  16. Ian, do let us know when the full (18 mile?) walk is taking place again. The short one (we did it last year) was fun.

  18. buddha, in 26 years I've never found it to be a problem.
  19. It would be useful to have a 'highlights' of the Plan. I'm going to try to put something together over the next couple of days.
  20. Gosh, words such as 'resent' and desperate' seem a little loaded. Surely there is a better way to phrase survey questions? (See Oppenheim on 'Questionnaire Design'.)
  21. There are many possible models. Really looking forward to net weeks' workshop to discuss...
  22. peeps I think the poster there was maybe taking an academic perspective...
  23. JimJam Wrote: JimJam, I don't supposed your blood brother is HLL...
  24. JimJam Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I dont know, but looks like he was insulted to, > and it takes two to tango!! > > Also he has since apologised!! Has he really? Has he apologised for the PMs he sent to various individuals? Or is: "rambles from Keefy and his partner in dullness Lousiana" to be taken as an apology? Cos if so then perhaps we need to rewrite the OED.
