  1. No it's not relevant or objective Louisa, you are an inverted snob and it's boring.
  2. No hint of blow-in Louisa, you are always looking for opportunities to grind that particular axe and this isn't one of them, push off unless youve got something objective to add.
  3. I also agree and well done for providing boundrys to your difficult teens who won't thank you now but will better learn how to navigate their way through life with out being mean, rude, violent or explicit around other people - especially little kids in a little kids play area.
  4. Is this Lady D. mistaking a poor drug addled teenager for one of the many yuppie millionaires of East Dulwich(despite the skateboard as she doesn't like to conflate reality with her own world view she has decided she is right)?
  5. You make incredible assumptions Lady D. How do you know how I am vested in society? You don?t. Where in East Dulwich do you think you can you live without being close to neighbours? I know all of mine well and find it absurd that you feel you know my circumstance. All the while that you put all the blame on society you absolve and disempower the very people you would seek to defend. As you say we are ALL responsible for the society we live in including those who?s behaviour it is that create problems. Apparently it is you who live in a bubble created by what you imagine to be the privileged, cosseted position of those who you resent (absurd assumption) because you do want to find somebody to blame rather than ask for responsible behaviour from others in a little kids play ground. Coz it?s all rich peoples fault innit?
  6. Lady D. what makes you think we are not interested in preventing children being neglected by deficient parents? And I don?t believe that the police on their own should be charged with clearing up all of society?s problems. However I would like to be able to take my 5 and 7-year-old children to their local play area without them or me being abused, harassed, threatened or upset. While I can see the sense in discussing issues that might lead to this behaviour it doesn't excuse it and I feel the defence of these ?children? is more about resentment of those of us who have spoken up against their behaviour. I would go further and add that I find this condescending antagonism an example of the victim culture where parents from problem homes are regarded as helpless victims and the notion of entitlement where if you perceive you are not as ?privileged? (as Lady D describes it), then you are entitled to be abusive and anti social. Well your not, and should have to behave or face consequences ? just like the rest of us (children or not). Not so simple and quite complex really, like the rest of the real world that we all have to live in.
  7. The only numbers that count are what people are prepared to pay AND what prices people are prepared to accept to sell. In the long run I'd be suprised if prices fall away dramatically, they might not go up by much for a while but the market is still bullish in the short/medium term.
  8. Drug addicted and alcoholic parents unsupported by law abiding tax payers and neglecting their children as an excuse for unacceptable behaviour toward small children in a small childrens play ground. Really Lady D.?
  9. So we concur then Otta, it's unaaceptable and they should be moved on by the police. As for feral, that wasn't my description but if the cap fits....and regarding knife carrying gang members given that in the last few weeks there have been multiple reports of muggings at knife point not 500 yards from the GG play area I don't think it's too much of a stretch to suggest that the muggers were bored teenagers once, perhaps even pissing people off in the same playground, what do you think Otta? Impossible, no?
  10. And lot's of people will tell you that slapping someone elses kid is a bit bloody much Otta, you can't have it both ways...either it's not acceptable, and if their parents won't sort it then, as appears to be the consensus here, the police should act or their just bored kids, lets leave them alone and not take our kids to the play there any more.
  11. Also it's irrelevant that they are children; if your child were putting themselves and others in danger would you stop them? If they were rude, upsetting other children and adults, abusing others would you want to know? I don?t want my little kids near violence, sexually offensive language and bullying - in a little kids playground that's not an unreasonable expectation and the police/school should be involved to prevent this behaviour even if these "children" don?t have parents who care. It might actually keep them from progressing to more serious anti social behaviour.

  13. I really want to believe this but there are still stick up guys mugging people at knife point round the corner from GG play ground and within the last few weeks. These youths are just the next generation, but yeah, happy to drum them out, what ever keeps them away from my kids.
  14. It really ought to be a police matter; those who babble about parallel reality?s and that they are only kids are part of the problem here (as are the parents). Have all these incidents been reported? Which school do they go to?
  15. But what about the Pig insult? c'mon focus everyone....

Thanks for the update phobic3000, I was unaware that you had admin remive the thread, it's such a shame! As I recall it was the stag no? We could have stuck up for you had we known about the abuse, it would have been worth a lot of hassle to have preserved what in my view was the apogee of this forum...
