Not me, but I do know there's a club meets at the Harris Girls School at the top of Peckham Rye if of any use. Would be evenings of course.

As it's a Tuesday night a pub with a back room or upstairs room might agree to host on the basis they get extra customers. -
Cruises, all inclusive and center parcs. Good or bad
PeckhamNicola replied to malumbu's topic in The Lounge
Eyes opened by an evening course at Birkbeck many years ago on anthropology and tourism. Though not much impact on my holidays as I had always preferred to be independent. Many issues to consider when you scratch the surface. https://www.responsibletravel.com/copy/should-all-inclusive-holidays-be-banned -
I heard good things about Little Kickers in Nunhead from friends. They appear to have several franchises locally. https://www.littlekickers.co.uk/find-a-class

Liz Stuart (Good Liz on here) used to run couch to 5k groups as well as her power pramming. I saw a message on here she no longer does the latter due to getting another job which clashes timing wise but perhaps she still does evening running groups

Looking for Gymnastic classes near East Dulwich
PeckhamNicola replied to FrancoRomana's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I think there are classes run at Dulwich college, using their facilities. And you could have a look at JAGS too to see if they offer anything. -

Still Athenlay! Running on Saturdays throughout the year, starting 9.30 I think, no need to sign up for a course, just pay as you go. -

Has anyone received their garden/brown bin sticker?
PeckhamNicola replied to Mrs C's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Instructions are clear on back of sticker. It goes on back of bin. You are supposed to put it out with the handle facing out onto the street so the bin men don't have to turn the bin round, just grab the handle. -

The holiday club attached to Southwark Gymnastics usually runs for longer than other holiday clubs. My son enjoys it. https://bookwhen.com/southwarkgym#select=ev-syep-20190827083000 Brunswick Park Primary School, Picton Street, Camberwell, SE5 7QH

Bambuni in Nunhead used to have olive oil for sale, you had to take in your own bottles to fill. Haven't been there for ages so don't know if they still have this in their current shop.

From faqs: What if I want to sign up but don?t have space for a brown wheeled bin? If your property does not have space for a garden waste bin, but you do still have a garden and wish to dispose of your waste, you will be able to purchase a pack of 20 garden waste bags for ?15 from www.southwark.gov.uk. These are not a direct alternative to having the garden waste wheeled bin - you will need to book a collection, via the website, each time you wish to leave a bag or bags out for collection.

Anthenlay Road - dangerous driving and speeding
PeckhamNicola replied to lclaase's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I suggest you go for road narrowing and not speed bumps unless you want your houses to shake like on every other street round here where speed bumps have gone in. I really hope after spending 10s of thousands putting in and then removing speed bumps all along Ivydale that the council does not waste more taxpayer money. The road narrowing are good. -
Make sure traffic calming measures are not speed bumps or you will double your problems.

Thanks for this, I took my son today, great value indeed for a pound! I was wondering if there were similar offers at other Southwark venues and came across the 'Southwark presents card' which offers discounts e.g. 2 for 1 at Dulwich picture gallery and the old operating theatre (new to me). https://www.southwark.gov.uk/events-culture-and-heritage/the-southwark-presents-card

We took 3 feet off the end of our kitchen to make loo on outside wall and additional store cupboard on other side, next to existing under stairs cupboard. As our kitchen was knocked through already into kitchen diner it is still a good size. I think having loo next to outside wall helped with the plumbing. Not sure cost as it was part of other work we had done and a few years ago.

I recommend Fishers Farm park near Horsham. They have accommodation though it is pricey, but there must be other options nearby. It's got rides, animals, climbing, trampolines etc. It kept my son happy for a whole day, and he wants to go back. And unlike any other 'theme park' ever, I would too! It's on the right scale without constant noise or big queues. To the east of Horsham is the llama park which we didn't get to but looks good for another day out.
