  1. I've heard good things about Herne Hill Harriers http://www.hernehillharriers.org/category/training/young-athletes/
  2. they are also at Ivydale School in Nunhead
  3. posting on here from Nunhead Salvation Army says they are taking donations of clothes as well as food. /forum/read.php?29,2175458
  4. > Where did toys r us go ? > > It's been been so long since I went to the okr went bust a few years ago.
  5. Sainsbury's briefly went to only allowing slots to be booked a week ahead, but last time I looked they'd opened up the following week too. I've not had any problems finding a weekly slot in the current lockdown/tier4.
  6. St.Ives, Norwich.
  7. Let them drive themselves!
  8. Covering the air vents with wire mesh helped a lot in our house.
  9. Saw this in Southwark Life - rent a tree and then it is collected and aken away to carry on growing after Christmas. https://www.londonchristmastreerental.com/ They are, however, already out of stock. But you can join waiting list, or mailing list for 2021 advance notice.
  10. There's one at the top of Telegraph Hill and the other near the big Sainsbury's at New Cross Gate. https://www.habsfed.org.uk/Our-Schools/
  11. What about North London? E.g. Winchmore Hill to old street, 4 direct trains per hour, takes under half an hour. Palmers Green / Alexandra palace are en route, the latter would only be 20 mins to old street. Schools have more outdoor space.
  12. As far as I know go with preferred order as long as there are realistic schools on your list. If you get say your third choice school to begin with, you remain on the waiting list for your first and second choice schools and there's still a chance if getting in right into the first weeks of the school year beginning.
  13. Last minute to a Greek island? Looks like it might be allowed, assuming they still want to let Brits in. If you're one of the people with a 2 week half term then I'd recommend Brakes Coppice Park near Battle. Looks like full w/c 26th but spaces the week before.
  14. Am I right that it works using Bluetooth, and if so does it eat through battery power like crazy?
  15. I like kfh. Tend to value in the middle of the range of local estate agents. If you use 2 agents they usually charge higher commission.
  16. Fernando did great work tidying our neglected and overgrown garden. He was also great at responding quickly to messages and it was easy to arrange a time for him to come round.
  17. A lack of ambition Bob? Double level basements are where it's at. Parking, pool, water fall, dance floor. https://www.theguardian.com/money/2018/may/07/pool-basement-wealth-super-rich-digging-down-london
  18. lameduck Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I cannot see this now > but there was a thread on here this morning > showing you can buy a fake driving licence for > ?300 > I looked at website, as you do. I suggest not to click on dodgy website links in future to avoid risk of computer viruses.
  19. Waiting to see what happens as our travel to France and accommodation was all booked pre-covid. The campsite is open, remains to be seen if UK lifts its travel advisory or if we can get on the train still. Assuming we have a low chance of catching or spreading it as we had it in March/April. Unless/until cancelled can't book alternative in UK, which might mean we're too late.
  20. Could be reported by rating app and adding comment. Then hope developers are reading feedback.
  21. Wendy Burgess has done my conveyancing several times over the last 15 or so years and I highly recommend her. North London but we've always managed by email and post. She works for Alan Samuels & Co: https://solicitors.lawsociety.org.uk/office/462491/alan-samuels-co
  22. Does it allow you to look backwards? Symptoms have been and gone.
  23. Hello. We've received an Easter letter for Heidi from India, misaddressed to our house on Ivydale Road. Please PM me your house number if you have a Heidi who this should have gone to and I'll drop it round.
  24. This is what was happening before isolation but if we'd just continued the hospitals would have been overwhelmed with cases. Isolation means the rate of infection goes down allowing (hopefully) the NHS to cope with the number of people already infected and in need of treatment. Covid19 is new so nobody has any resistance to it yet.
