I've just answered my own question by moonlighting on another forum... http://www.london-se1.co.uk/forum/read/1/40692 it's on New Kent road and is indeed being demolished for more poncy flat building. It's a brilliant building and simply mustn't be knocked down.

okay so this has nothing to do with the college...but seeing as you've been lounged already... another interesting (to me) building on the Old Kent Road is the huge Driscoll House. Why is it borded up? Please don't tell me they're knocking it down. A philanthropist built it to offer ex service men a home when they came back from the trenches and a place to rehabilitate (that's what I can muster from googling it!) Anyone know anything different.....

Laphrioag and coke spilled on the carpet ? wineglass full of untouched whiskey with cigarette butt in it ? Inconsolable sense of regret. It's an old Victorian bath house. It is old inside. Not much good for serious swimming but should be revamped never the less. I hope they keep the original features, too many of them get knocked down and gutted.

Went in on Saturday noon for my regulatory cup of tar/espresso. Very nice cup it was too. Still shaking from it now. Had a chat to Daphne about the place and to see how she was going. I think they have a little way to go before they get the staff up to speed with what's happening. They all seemed to be like rabbits caught in the headlights to me. Food menue will be increased to serve large/main plated meals. Pricey but I'm sure delicious. On the whole I'm sure it will take off and be a huge success.

I'm middle class.....so am I! hurrah. I too am watching BB like an idiot. My husband is at his witts end.
