Thanks fox. This is my view too. If I am packing up the car for holiday and go back inside with a couple of bags on the street are they fair game. In this case the lady loiters for a bit. Doesn't knock on the door then takes the scooter. -

To the black lady with very long hair wearing a white coat with a shoulder bag grey jogging bottoms who passed my house at 10:22 this morning kindly return the blue micro scooter with lots of elastic bands on it which you took from just outside my front gate. My child left it there by mistake, it was not left there as a giveaway so please bring it back to where you found it. Pm me if you'd like me to collect it. There is hd CCTV of the event. Thanks!

"Homeless American Veteran" Denmark Hill Station
ED_moots replied to EDmummy's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Spoke to this guy about a week ago. He was holding out what appeared to be a genuine US passport and some sort of military service ID. Says he's from new York but came to UK to start a better life. I believe him that support of ex service personell I US is limited. Has no money but does have a place to stay. He says he sometimes hangs out by the Plough. Clearly has mental health issues possibly PTSD but i didnt push the subject and am not qualified to diagnose. Difficult to know what kind of help he wanted or needed rally. Was thoroughly pessimistic about the types of help available; embassy, hostels, social services etc. Even though he was standing opposite the Salvation Army building. Was very friendly but loud, gave him 2 quid as I didn't have the "couple of bucks he was asking for -

Local & rare apples in Dulwich & Peckham
ED_moots replied to Ben White's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I presume you know about the 'urban orchard' on melbourne grove. Not sure how rare they are but they are about 6 trees of different varieties. -
We used Gary at [email protected] he was quick and efficient. He has a mole but ended up digging a short trench as we don't have fancy tiles. Cost about 550.

I was on that service this morning. Just about resisted the urges to firstly cheer when the train arrived then laugh out loud at the brakes issue at South Bermondsey. Enjoyed a stroll through the new concourse to jubilee line. A fair distance but about as direct as it can be from plat 15 and under cover. Feeling (hoping & praying) we've turned a corner but still feel EDers are owed some freebies having suffered for years. The strike in Wednesday and Thursday is still on although southern claim our revived service will be unaffected. Optimistic to the last. -

There's some useful info here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/charity-fundraising-sites Maximising your donations depends on the site you register with and of course you should register for gift aid if you haven't already. BT MyDonate seems the most cost effective for charities hoping for small regular donations. -

The 8:02 does run but turns round at south Bermondsey. It's sparsely populated and has air con! However you need to change at Peckham rye or queens road for the overground and then again at Canada water for jubilee if you want get to canary wharf or back to London bridge and the west end. The overcrowding at Canada water (single escalator down to jubilee) is getting really bad. -

Hi. Sorry I missed the quiz but is there an easy way to make a regular donation. A fiver a month is a couple of lattes and the regular injection might be more useful? Ps. Not affiliated to dkhap in any way -
I am supportive of the school scheme, it's about time. However, as a resident of one of the neighbouring streets, I have concerns around traffic and parking. There are a multitude of docs on the application but the traffic assessments make interesting reading. 140 staff and just 23 parking spaces on-site. Southwark Planning support this minimal provision. The traffic statement concludes that the overspill can be accommodated in neighbouring streets. Not realistic. When the school roll is at full capacity the assessment reckons that of the 1680 students around 30 will be driven to school. There is no pick up drop off facility in the design. Up until 2022 the main pedestrian entrance will be on Jarvis road, over 1000 students and staff using this entrance, not the main entrance on east dulwich grove. There are a group of residents based in Melbourne Grove who will be seeking better engagement and consultation on these plans. Pm me if you would like to be kept in the loop. It would be great if the aspirations of the sustainable travel policy are realised but with southern providing practically no service during rush hour and bus routes needing to be changed and extended, this seems unlikely in the near future.

Seems to me that southern are trying to dodge compensation claims by reducing the service. Hope everyone signed that petition, although we all know how far they go. Here's the revised timetable details: http://www.southernrailway.com/your-journey/revised-timetable#impact6 Highlights for ED commuters are: 1.No more services between Beckenham Junction and London Bridge - none. 2. Peak train options from ED to LB are 6:55, 7:30, 8:02 and 8:30 - that's it. 3. peak train options from LB to ED are 16:40, 17:11 and 18:08 -
Round about at the bottom of lordship lane
ED_moots replied to TGAGE's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Isn't the top and bottom of a road about numbering? Lowest number is at the bottom, where the roundabout is. -
The epetition captures the country of origin and mp where a postcode is provided. You can download the data and see. This is what they mean by 'fraudulent', it hasn't been hacked. I don't think it says anywhere that it's for uk residents only and it doesn't block overseas IP addresses (presumably because we have residents overseas). These people probably think they are helping.

I signed this in protest but it won't lead to a 2nd referendum. I'm so sick of hearing about 'Britain's decision' and don't want the >14m who voted Remain to be forgotten when article 50 negotiations begin. There's a slim chance we won't find someone with the balls to invoke it or that our MPs won't pass the necessary bill I suppose. Fundamentally I think we need to respect the outcome and accept there's a huge disconnect between london, m4 corridor and the rest of the country. 17m can't all be thick and there seem to various reasons why they voted leave; many will believe they did the right thing for democracy and sovereignty but many are misguided, misinformed and some downright dispicable.

Remove the franchise for Southern Rail from Govia Thameslink.
ED_moots replied to Azira's topic in The Lounge
Signed. Terrible service for ages\years. I have also read that southern have no slack in their staffing capacity and have not hired and trained enough staff over the years. No doubt they are culpable. However the unions are just punishing commuters and living in the past. Cannot stand their bullying tactics. The work at London bridge has also had a much bigger impact that anyone admitted particularly for services arriving at platform 15. Fewer trains run than before the works started with regular disruption. Network Rail and Southern should be ashamed and the compensation policy is totally inadequate.
