  1. If the fox wanted to attack you it would have. Sounds like it was chasing you off
  2. How do you know what the fox wanted to do if it didn’t do it.
  3. You can get free treatment for mange from National Fox Welfare Society. If anyone’s feeding a fox with mange, just add a couple of drops of meds
  4. The park and swings should absolutely be open and accessible for everyone.
  5. Just be careful to know exactly what they cover and the limits. i use Many Pets and Medivet, as I think one of the vets is exceptionally good. Some of the NHV are, but I’ve had a couple I’ve not liked at all. I need consistency and to feel that they actually care more about the animals than the money.
  6. what type of car was it, if they are in demand, might be helpful info.
  7. Not the only shop open on Lordship Lane, and pubs are open too. Years ago, when all the shops were closed on Christmas Day, pubs were open. We were always sent to the pub to get out of the way while dinner was cooking. great that there are options - and I bet some staff are happy to earn extra money. Merry Christmas!
  8. Let’s not all get scared of the foxes now. Most likely explanation is protecting its den or association with food. We have foxes, and cats and they are no bother to each other. The fox will leave when the cats are out.
  9. Only interested if they used ancient methods of transporting monoliths, for authenticity
  10. yes - often see a morning queue of sweaty runners - presume they don't actually realise there's a fab cafe next to the one they queue at..
  11. Borough market has good cheese
  12. I mean the runners - they possibly don't know it's there. Really strange I
  13. They are so good. Fabulous people too. I love the food - AND they are dog friendly. I don't understand why everyone queues at the place next door when this like goldmine is right THERE!
  14. My dog has to be medicated to cope with bonfire night. She’s a rescue so I don’t know what traumatic abuse she experienced. I love the fact that you, Dave CPR, are so unaware of how another can be affected by something that does not personally affect yourself. Blissful ignorance. Lack of Empathy. Cold hearted.
  15. Keep going out calling her, especially at night time when it’s quieter.
  16. Yeh, just woke all of the little ones up. They weren’t massively loud, just very close
  17. please report this to the police - were there any witnesses? She should face charges. the owner should not allow dogs off lead - I'm so sorry this has happened. It would be good if you can identify her - are there cameras - in the cafes around? - follow her, find her address and report her. https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/ac/animal-crime/ also report to the park wardens so they can be found Your Local Council: Contact them to report issues in parks or public areas, especially if you know the dog or owner, as they investigate under local bylaws and the Dangerous Dogs Act. https://www.gov.uk/control-dog-public/report-a-dog
  18. Forest Hill looks lovely.
  19. Boxes, scrunched up tin foil or paper, and ping pong balls actually go a very long way! Laser pointers are also invaluable, as is anything string related. A Tabcat tracking device is also invaluable, Exciting times 😻
  20. So which companies use couriers who are untraceable, and leave the parcels if you’re not in? They’re the ones that need to be avoided.
  21. Why are some deliveries track able and others not?
  22. The point is to discover if there are ways of choosing who delivers to you and ensure your items are delivered securely. While it should be fine to have items on your doorstep, it’s not.
  23. I’m quite sure that when I bought from JL they said how it would be delivered when I was choosing delivery. Is that not the same when you buy from Amazon? If it didn’t say, or if I wasn’t happy with the names courier, I’d arrange to collect it if I couldn’t be home, as bigmacca1 says.
  24. The actual problem is thieves trespassing on your property and stealing your property. But yes, let’s list the companies we buy from who deliver carelessly and then we can collectively avoid them. I’ll start. John Lewis - has to be signed for Forthglade - has to be signed for Amazon - will leave on doorstep but detailed tracking is available so there is time to ask a neighbour to pick it up, or to be home yourself Ebay - seller specific. You can ask (before you buy/pay) for the item to be posted recorded delivery or with tracking. The things I bought all needed to be signed for.
