woman asking for money door to door
TheAllSeeingEye replied to Cam123's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Careful when shaking hands, soon as they have hold of you they can pull you out of the front door and do god knows what. Having said that, Id tell her to get lost. Its no better than burgulary coming to your door annd bullying you and making you feel guilty. Reminds me of the Big Issue sellers that hang out on Lordship Lane everyday, then get in their car and drive home at 5pm, b**tards. -

There are more pressing crimes that need dealing with in my view, like the current spate of attacks/muggings of people in other threads. re: speeding on Ryedale, its no worse than any other road in ED Im sure. The roads were built before the invention of the motor car and are therefore not ideal. Couple this with some idiots out there on the roads in general and of course there are going to be incidents of too much speed inappropriately, as well as all manner of other things. Its just something we'll have to live with Im afraid. -

vans blocking junctions on underhill road
TheAllSeeingEye replied to Stat Man's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Possibly so, but its not just Iceland. Fact remains, if you are a delivery driver and delivering heavy goods to a store, you cant such miles away for a parking space, you need to be close by. This will never change. However, the people parking outside Londis with the "only care about myself" attitude are parking there for 30seconds to grab cigarettes and never a day passes without the blast of car-horns, potential accidents and the like. -

vans blocking junctions on underhill road
TheAllSeeingEye replied to Stat Man's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
fact of the matter is that people are clearly just parking where they like irrespective of the yellow lines, etc. Personally I would like the Southwark wardens to ticket the thoughtless idiots that park illegally for 10 minutes to graba paper/fags/bacon sarnie and risk others having an accident, rather than the honest working man delivering goods to a store who clearly has to park within a said distance of the store in question. -

It happens on the North Cross Road / Lordship Lane junction everyday too. Its getting worse all over East Dulwich and there will be another accident sooner rather than later if something isnt done. Word of advice to Southwark and their parking wardens ... Id rather you ticketed these vehicles rather than lorries delivering to Iceland that park outside the Post Office ...
