My brother wants us to go to the Cheese Block on Christmas Eve morning to buy some cheese for Christmas. Does anyone have any idea what the queues will be like then? Or should we just go to Waitrose or our local farm shop before Christmas Eve (thus avoiding any potential queues).

Is it in Mandarin or Cantonese? Can't you use Google Translate? They might be able to help at Mr Liu's if you order something first, like dinner, then ask nicely at the end of the meal when the hot towels arrive (face or hands or both? I never know).

Now going to brother's house on CPR for a few days over Christmas instead and so now the choice is goose or turkey. Anyone any experience of kids eating goose? I can't remember what's it like in comparison to turkey.I'm worried in case the kids won't eat it (goose).

I replaced the old pine Victorian 4-panel door with a white B&Q door, but it still seems to be getting stuck intermittently - do I need to do something with the frame or the surrounding architrave? My wife says I shouldn't worry about it.

I went to get an allotment and was told there is a long waiting list :( However my friend at The Castle said its possible to pay a ?250 advance on the allotment fees to be priortised on the list. I then mentioned this inducement to the membership secretary, but he didn't seem to know what I was talking about, so now I'm still at the bottom of the list - most frustrating.
