  1. It was called 'Summer Rites', the one day festival that was previously hosted in the park.

The shop had a whiff of German efficiency last time I walked past.
  3. I know Motherland is set in North London, but doesn't it appear to be similar to what happens in ED? Julia's front arrangement is quite similar to my double fronted five-bedder on MG.
  4. Whikst I wait to open my new restaurant, I was thinking of opening an organic pop corn stall on Northcross Road - but can it can take two? I'll charge ?8 per bag and will use unrefined sugar and 'sal marina de las Salinas de Ibiza'.
  5. I courted my wife in Brockwell Park.
  6. That new cheese shop is scary - huge wheels of cheese and those big chopping blocks. Has anyone been in yet? If so do though they have Shropshire Blue?
  7. I just get my wife to go to Waitrose, then I watch Netflix whilst she?s out, so no need for Sainsbury?s.
  8. Apparently the school is quite innovative - they have class sizes of about 30 each organised into ?year? groups from the reception class onwards. The classes are led by teachers assisted by teaching assistants, with different lessons across the day, with regular break periods incorporated. It all sounds quite good to me, so if you can afford it I think you should consider it as a possibility.
  9. It?s ok if you burn kiln dried logs or coalite - seasoned wood or just coal are too smoky for ED though.
  10. I burn logs every day in my Little Wenlock log burner. I dry them off first in the Rayburn in the kitchen.
  11. When can I start wearing my Christmas jumper? It has a large knitted Christmas pudding on it - I got in the charity shop for ?2.50
  12. TheCat Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Bob Buzzard wins....how did this thread get to 27 > posts? No idea, but it?s a great debate. No one has told me what the fees are yet though - I presume they?re ?POA??
  13. Just the display uniforms on the mannequins in the reception area - you can glimpse them when walking past the LL entrance.
  14. My new Sri Lankan restaurant will be good. In the meantime Ganapati is the best.
  15. Are you sure? The display uniforms in the reception look very prep school style.
  16. What?s that new cheese shop like? Do they do Brie wheels?
  17. I?m planning to reinstigate the tradition of ?walking the bounds? of the borders of ED - I need some fellow bounders to help - anyone fancy helping? I think it will establish a sense of community.
  18. I?ve still got the same problem with door - maybe I should get something shaved off the bottom as it could be rubbing on the carpet?
  19. C?mon Julien - mustard tasting? Surely you come up with something better than that!
  20. With the demise of the Gowlett I recommend The Castle as a replacement local for all in ED.
  21. The one where the police station used to be

    Brexit View

Apparently Sadiq Khan is going to apply forv'DOC' status for London, so then we'll still sort of be in thecEUnafter Brexit as we will have protected status on the same lines as Parmesan or Roquefort has.
  23. How do you know I'm not a Russian bot prototype instead of a person?
  24. Does anyone know how much the fees are for the new prep school on LL?
  25. I'm not allowed to do anything in the main section
