  1. Delighted to see the back of it. They were snooty. I took a designer bag in there and was told by some 21 year old 'fashion expert' that it looked brassy. It looked anything but - it was Chlo?.
  2. I know nothing of this OV place. Seriously, can someone please tell me where it is as I have decided to give CB a wide berth for now. I'm sure they'll be gutted.
  3. If you've ever left a shop feeling like the service was below par, the Cheese Block takes it to a whole new level. The girl behind the counter could not have been less interested when I asked for her advice on 3 different cheeses. There was an audible sigh when I had the audacity to change my mind on one of the three, even though she hadn't begun to cut it. The bill (?23 so not exactly cheap) was slapped down on the glass counter top with no 'thanks very much' or 'see you soon'. I very rarely complain but I did a couple of days later over the phone as every time I walked past the same girl was there. The owner couldn't have given a **** Sad as it's clouded my view of the place. I think their range is amazing but will definitely think twice before going again.
  4. Wow Azira don't you have a great memory!
  5. Can anyone recommend a good lawyer who can assist me with the pursuit of a harassment claim against my poisonous neighbour?
  6. Can anyone please recommend a local caterer prepared to do a smallish (15-20 adults) birthday party? Kind of fare sought is along the lines of tapas and finger food generally. Party is at the end of October. Thanks in advance.
  7. Has anyone else noticed this today? Barely anything coming out of the tap in the SE22 area...
  8. Does anyone know of a good fridge engineer who might be able to explain why this is happening and fix it? It's been beeping for 24 hours and I'm going up the wall. Fridge is only 3 years old. Thanks
  9. I would recommend Rick too. He came out within 2 hours of my call. I needed him to add a timing device to my outside tap. The device turned out to be faulty but Rick offered to fit the new one for free. Very quick and efficient with a ?60 call out fee. Would use him again.
  10. Agreed. He came over within 2 hours to fit an outside garden watering system. As the kit proved to be faulty I had to purchase another one and he offered to come back free of charge to fit it. Nice guy.
  11. Yes this is certainly true DF but so what? I don't think the octogenarian piano tuner I used 4 years ago will be remotely interested in the fact that I may or may not be considering action around the suspected nefarious activities of someone who lives close to me.
  12. Do you know who I am DF? No I don't think you do....
  13. Logical suggestion Peckhampam but it's complicated and I need to be sure of my facts before I contact the Police.
  14. I have a feeling a neighbour is up to no good. Can anyone recommend a canny sleuth?
  15. apart from all the typos I think I agree with Bermy
  16. I can thoroughly recommend Mike Doherty too. He installed a power point for me. It was a job I needed doing quite urgently and he was really quick to respond and book me in. His price was really reasonable and I'm delighted with the job he did. Wouldn't hesitate to use again. Oh and he helped me get into my daughter's iPad after she forgot the code.
  17. I can't rate Niko highly enough. I had what I believed to be a faulty bath plug (the one where you turn the disc on the side of the bath to activate the plug). Niko came over to assess the job very quickly. He had to remove the side panel and returned 24hours later with a new mechanism. It turned out however that there was nothing wrong with the original plug, so he mended that and returned the new one to the shop. He could have easily charged me for a brand new kit. I would have been none the wiser. He is polite, neat and tidy and most importantly honest. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
  18. I know they've been moved - because I went round and talked to the owner of said vehicles. If you want something done...don't write a note, don't moan online - go and tackle the issue head on. Result - my drive to school tomorrow will be so much safer - hopefully.
  19. I have spoken to the owner of the offending vehicle. Turns out he owns it and the other green beast that's parked right next to it at this busy intersection. He appeared massively unphased about the problem the white van causes road users. I asked him politely if he would be able to move it and he said he would think about it but wouldn't be minded to 'do it right away'. The galling thing is that it's across his 'driveway' and there's plenty of room for him to move it further up without any problem. Let's see what happens.
  20. It's parked dangerously and it hasn't been moved for about 5 months.
  21. It's a sorry state of affairs when one cinema goer (me) cannot lean over to her cinema going friend and pass comment about the aesthetic appeal of Matthias Schoenaerts without being barked at by an indignant woman to 'Stop talking please.' It's laughable and rather sad that someone's feathers can be so quickly ruffled especially as this was the only comment passed all night between my friend and I. This has in no way taken the edge off my first trip to our new cinema and I can't wait to go again.
  22. To the owner of the huge white van that is permanently and I think dangerously parked at the intersection of Goodrich Road and Crystal Palace Road. Every single morning I have to inch out into Crystal Palace Road from Goodrich Road praying that someone isn't driving or cycling too fast down Crystal Palace Rd from the left hand side. Your 'van' (I have no idea what make it is it just says Razorback on the rear door) is always there. I appreciate you have to park it somewhere but please please move it a few metres along Crystal Palace Road and away from this busy intersection. Your reg by the way is GU02 ZNR. Thanks in advance.
