  1. Tarot, your rant has left me confused... are you saying I condone their behaviour, if so, you couldn't be further from the truth (see my first post on the subject). I think all refs to private school were largely tongue in cheek. The original poster asked 'what would you do?' ie confront or not. you seem to have taken the opportunity to rant about society's great ills. There are plenty other threads already in existence for that.
  2. Tarot, what is that supposed to mean? this thread hasn't even hinted at class war. Reactionary Rik out of the Young Ones springs to mind. What would you do?
  3. I'm with Fliss, normally the older kids are polite enough. I do think that the basketball and footy goal are too close. The playground isn't really big enough to house ball games alongside swings etc... You did the right thing by walking away, though easier said than done.
  4. Harsh but if you do put yourself in the shop window...
  5. Head down LL around 1am on sat or sun, a real eye-opener. They all come out at night.
  6. That kind of glass was used in my experience, for aniseed tasting urine, not vin de maison.
  7. I lived in France for a while and they do, have cereal from a coffee cup with warm milk. Safe to say, they, never in my time (circa 9899) drank wine from tumblers
  8. don't get this, I like drinking wine out of a wine glass. thus, in according, I'm either pretentious or, not with the kids. Ultimately, give people a choice. all other thought is lazy. Do you eat cereal out of a coffee cup in Blue Mountain? Middle-class gone crazeeee
  9. Your boss will have to hold his/her horses, general sale tickets are not issued generally until at least a month before the match. Availability will depend on the game you are going to, if it's a marquis game, you will have to succumb to online touts, unfortunately. They won't have tangible tickets until at least a month before too, so don't hand over any cash just yet.
  10. Not stressing, merely musing. To hell it with it, it's only a pub, pizzas etc, so eat off paper plates, or out of cardboard boxes, then. I like my wine (very cold and white) in a thin glass, nothing to do with gooseberries, blackcurrants or even bananas.
  11. Ooh la la why not give the punter choice, wine glass or pretentious school tumbler? Reckon the tumbler shelf would gather dust in no time.
  12. .
  13. I'm not happy but doubtless the cheating reds are. Enjoy your hollow victory, will probably be the highlight of your season.
  14. Hope this time tomorrow I'm happy.
  15. People who leave the receipt from their train ticket purchase in the machine. Who do they think should move it, if not them? When queueing, the person behind who decides to get closer to you but at an angle in an attempt, albeit subconsciously, to progress quicker through the queue.
  16. Yup, I drive and thus, the dead spit of Oli Hardy, obviously. Damn those two-wheeled Cavendish lookalikes who cut me up every morning.
  17. I wouldn't dismiss his/her argument entirely, even if it is a wind-up.
  18. Apologies, I meant turning right into copleston. Turning right into ogler really would be fraught with danger!
  19. That was me jctg
  20. Turning right into Oglander with a flotilla of buses coming the opposite way isn't that safe.
  21. I always find 'away' fans to be much worse. As an Everton fan at away games, many a time I've been sickened by what I've heard my fellow 'supporters' chant and sing. Yet, hardly ever hear anything offensive at Goodison. Maybe the away games attract the scum more (who are still in the minority thankfully).
  22. Doing the rounds... Arsenal have been dealing with 8-2 jokes 4-3 weeks now
  23. Many thanks, little kickers was great!
  24. BR wrote 'Cheers for that- we can now stand proud and say to ManUre, Chelski, Liverpool and Arsenal- see we can copy you and buy silverware too ! ' Sounds like you're trying to convince yourself. Chelsea is the only team out of that lot you should be comparing your-self to. What utter bullshit
