  1. Manchester City banter now alludes to how great they are, whilst tongue in cheek about money. Pains me to say it as a scouser but I respect MUFC a hell of a lot more than I do MCFC.
  2. Wouldn't mind a kick around but wouldn't be able to commit every week...
  3. Well, the mid-life crisis has certainly kicked in.
  4. Really don't understand all this fuss. Asda home delivery got through no prob.
  5. Blue-boys will have their greatest start to the season for a while. Zero points but significantly no negative in the GD column,
  6. Many, many thanks to you all some great stuff here...
  7. Yep, sure do. Hence the cry for help.
  8. Have to give one on Sat and have a blank canvas, only stipulation is to keep it short. I did have this which I liked but it's a religious ceremony... I cannot exist without you. I am forgetful of everything but seeing you again. My life seems to stop there, I see no further. You have absorb'd me. I have a sensation at the present moment as though I were dissolving. I have been astonished that men could die martyrs for religion... I have shudder'd at it... I shudder no more. I could be martyr'd for my religion: Love is my religion. I could die for that. I could die for you. My creed is love, and you are its only tenet. You have ravish'd me away by a power I cannot resist. Any pointers gratefully received, could be nice song lyrics (apart from Groovy kind of love) Thanks in advance...
  9. Sterling effort, thanks to all the admin team.
  10. An alternative view of Hugs I posted in happier days... I often think about what people on the forum 'really' look like. This, of course is just my imagination... I have Huguenot as handsome, middle aged, middle class man with longish hair that is swept back put keeps falling over his eyes, which permits him the annoying habit of constantly tossing his head in an attempt to flick it back. He does this every time he reads a post that annoys him, which, is most of the time. He's attired in expensive, casual clothes, yet, he still manages to appear slightly scruffy but given his slight eccentric tendencies, he cares little. His dark green jumbo corduroy trousers have been faithful servants for many winters and rather uncomfortably, many summers too. On a hot day, he allows himself the privilege of a short sleeve shirt (all buttons fastened to the top), as he strolls down to the newsagents to fetch his paper of choice, he catches a glimpse of himself in a shop window. He realises his shirt is unironed, he quickly ignores this fact as he catches glimpse of a screaming headline rant fronting one of the papers on show. Tutting his way back home, he has already penned his latest EDF post in his head. The kettle clicks as the laptop pops open, Huguenot's huge fingers scroll down to 'East Dulwich Forum' and eventually he finds the 'start a new thread section'... the next two hours of the day are neatly taken care of.
  11. Dogstar, hmmm? demographics? I spent many night there many a moon ago. If next EDF drinks were there, I'd show my face, ole skool an all that>
  12. How many of the current regulars have posted under other usernames and who are / were they? Is this a regular thing? Questions, questions??
  13. you were quick to point out how many of the England set-up weren't born in the country, then you moved on to the spirit of the game. Instead of picking bones, how about a sporting acknowledgement to what is one of the greatest England Test sides in a generation?
  14. What then, Alan, does that have to do with the heritage of some of 'our' players?
  15. Alan, which team do you follow? You seem a little bitter.
  16. This could be a classic, Bell and KP, and Morgan need to make runs, lead of 250 and the games is ours, ours I tell you.
  17. Test cricket alive and well, massive queues outside of HQ this am!
  18. I feel love - Donna Summer Atomic - Blondie Dancing Queen - Abba
  19. 'Truth is that most men still struggle even to change a nappy let alone cook meals and take the kids to school and everything else.' Over and out.
  20. How does any of that explain why 'is a bit late now to start arguing the opposite'?
  21. 'For centuries women have been subjegated to the role of mother - it's a bit late now to start arguing the opposite.' Wow! Fortunately the Pankhursts had a different outlook on social change.
  22. Whichever the boozer goes with, would prefer Sky, for the build-up.
  23. Have faith ?'s it might not be knees up mother brown but, and just but, it could be good, just like anti folk is meant to be.
  24. I understand Mick but I do like a sense of occasion and for that reason and that reason alone, I'm oot!
