  1. Hang on a second BR. I was enjoying that one-eyed piece of proaganda until the last couple of sentences... And if, after 35 years without a trophy, after several relegations, dozens of managers and a handful of owners, you still get full houses at Anfield then, and only then, will you be as good as Manchester City's fans. They really are the best in the world because they are still there.' Hold the phone! Your stadium wasn't even full over Christmas when we played (and beat) you. I've seen Main Road, COMS or Eastland half full too many times to be able to buy into the fact you have the most amazing, loyal fans.
  2. From my understanding many supporters wanted Rafa out, whilst many wanted him to remain. It wasn't clear cut either way. Hence, not all of those who are anti-Hogdson were necessarily pro-Rafa.
  3. How long does a club remain 'big' on the grounds of past glories? After a great 80s it was hard me as an Evertonian to swallow the fall to mediocrity through the 90s (witness accusations of bitter blues etc). I think Liverpool really are in danger of falling away, that's why it's crucial they get the right man in and perhaps that's why Hodgson didn't quite get the support from a fanbase who largely knew all along he wasn't the man for the job.
  4. Keef, you've taken wind out my sails with that last comment, a very frank and honest view, one which very few of my red friends seem to want to believe.
  5. Emerson, I know little of you, or, of the supposed little gang but I have to say most of your chat on this thread is nothing but dull, childish, inane rubbish. I'm all for a wind up (especially when it comes to my fellow Merseysiders) but with you it always seems to spiral into petty drivel.
  6. Hey Aquarius, I'm a man.
  7. I show (Man) City the same level of respect I show Chelsea, just can't take them seriously.
  8. What does everyone think of the whole quantative easing action taken by the last government? Too early to say?
  9. Watch your words in the post match interview Roy! Remember, only an idiot would dare question the loyalty of that famous, warm romantic Liverpool support!
  10. Houseprices you say... Well I suppose Waitrose do offer good fresh produce and wider aisles.
  11. Spose a Lidl (superstore)is out of the question?
  12. The Trip was was a load self-indulgent magnificence!I loved every single, subtle minute of it!!!
  13. The Aussies were always going to come back, they couldn't be that bad throughout. Fortunately, Johnson shouldn't get as much bounce in the last two tests as he has in Perth. Game on!
  14. This one is as good as over, it's all about the MCG.
  15. I was 9, heard it on the radio whilst getting up for breakfast. At school that day there was only one topic of conversation.
  16. Breakfast on BBC is the most patronising program on tele. Treats its audience like children, on a parity with Newsround in fact, (less the yoof look).
  17. Emerson, Everton didn't play last night and they certainly didn't win.
  18. At what price? Hicks? Gillette? No thanks. Of course I care, Merseypride and all that!
  19. Well, money isn't everything, obviously, it is for some but not for the followers of the People's Club. 'If you know your history...'
  20. The 'real' home indeed, good point. Everton did play at fortress Anfield before the 'outsiders' moved in!
  21. That would have been a blessing last Saturday
  22. If we're talking Bricks and mortar Emerson, then look no further than good old Goodison! The first purpose built football stadium.
  23. Thankfully, I wasn't!!! A draw out of this would be great!
  24. We need at least two to step up, Strauss and KP? Not convinced by Trott, Bell wasted at 6.
  25. England all out by close day 4, Aus win by an inns! I might be wrong but...
