  1. Not sure about RVP as player of the year but then I hear it is voted for in Feb. Like him or not Rooney has delivered throughout the season, surely the best player.
  2. was that a Maxxi DLF six?
  3. Refer you to my comments re. comparison, earlier. It wasn't crap, it was about the need to remember. The crux here is that I don't agree with your statement, sweeping, patronising, stereotypical as it was (in my perception). I found it offensive, you and others on the forum consider my reaction as atypical of a defensive mentality that is typical of Liverpool people. Your argument pertains a massive stereotype, you think it doesn't, never the twain shall meet. Let the sun shine on Wembley tomorrow.
  4. Your being flippant SJ, he wasn't comparing tradjedies, was he? He was making a point about the need for relecrion and remerberance. Huguenot, yes I have friends and yea I talk with them. I will be sure to remind to move on, can't think why we didn't come up with that solution sooner.
  5. Otts, El Pibe etal. I sent Otta's post through to a gd friend yesterday to get his opinion. The disclaimer I should add is that he is most passionate yet level-headed football fan that I know. I don't wish to stir up this argument again. Just think he expresses himself a lot more succinctly and diplomatically than I. I never read forums, or message boards or listen to radio phone ins so I never get to see this type of stuff. ? My feeling is that LFC are entirely justified in saying that the club doesn?t play on April 15 th. Especially when the game in question is an FA Cup semi final. I understand that this position throws up many logistical problems for other teams but the main issue with this weekend?s fixtures is simply that the FA have made the greedy and illogical decision to play FA Cup semi finals at Wembley. ? Otherwise we could have played at lunch time at OT, Chelsea and Spurs could have played at tea time in London and there would be no problem. ? I must admit though I find it really annoying when things like this happen. The more the country gets annoyed with things like LFC ?refusing to play on a certain day? the more it deflects from the only important issue which is the campaign for justice. ? There should be a dialogue about this stuff. Alan Davies is completely allowed to say he feels that LFC refusing to play on the 15 th gives them an advantage. That is his opinion and I don?t really care what he thinks. ? As for the thread below. This bit in particular is pretty offensive I think ? Hillsborough is different because of all the cover up, and the quest for truth, which keeps it alive, helped by fans' slightly twisted desire to share in the grief in order to feel like part of something, even though they had no link at the time.?I assume whoever wrote this also thinks Remembrance Day is a twisted desire to share in the grief. Unless he was actually involved in the Wars of course. ? ?
  6. Otta, apologies I sent the message below to you as a pm by mistake. Not using the word ALL. South American footballers are cheats...
  7. El Pibe, if my finding the stereotyping as twisted of many people I know is me being over-sensitive, then i'm wrong but I don't think it is.
  8. you win Otta, you are way too smart for me. so all south americans footballers are cheats or some south american footballers are cheats. If I was Messi I'd take offence to the first example and would probably just think the writer was ignorant.
  9. Well, that's a pretty big word given the context, don't you think?
  10. Otta, the use of 'twisted' towards all LFC fans I find offensive, you haven't addressed that yet. your sign-off reflects that of a sulky teenager determined to claim the higher moral ground. tip, don't go getting upset when writing stuff that might offend, offends on a public forum. Now roll up your bottom lip and get back to saving the world (I think that is the kind of pay-off you will RESPEK!!!)
  11. YOU aren't like being held to account on this and thus attempting to shift it towards a personal issue. It is YOU who says these things on this forum so, who-else, do YOU suggest should I direct my response towards? Laughable.
  12. there you go again, 'I think the whole world id against me'. How is that not patronising? How is claiming that we all think we are funny not patronising... there are more examples. You have the issue here, not me and somewat ironically it is you who is acting the victim. Get over it.
  13. perpetuated by the likes of Otta.
  14. Otta, I find your categorising of a mass of peoples' mentality as twisted, very offensive. This whole 'scousers' as professional mourners etc tag is starting to stick and it fucks me off. there are some who might be guilty of this but certainly not the majority, have some perspective ffs. In fact, you have been very patronising to scousers on the forum in the past, it smacks of I typical... I lived there for a few years and thus am qualified to make outrageous assumptions about the place and its people.
  15. Insincere use of 'sorry'... 'sorry to be pedantic but...' Don't apologise, if you are a pedant, you are a pedant and I'm guessing you love it.
  16. Yes, not only are we cynical, we are incredibly pompous too.
  17. coke - 'the real thing'

  19. Why would RD want tickets for Wembley 14th Apr?
  20. Roger Mellie's Profanasaurus
  21. It never occurred to me who they (the author) might support. I just thought it was a piece waiting to be written. My own, blatant, prejudice aside, I think it is a piece that will strike a chord with most, less, indulgent lfc fans.
  22. GG, in this cyber world of anonymity, how could one really profess love for another?

  24. In the US, the owners have been quite brutal in the past, sacking coaches without a thought. I'd be surprised if Daglish gets another season as it looks unlikely he'll bring champions league football to the club.
  25. Re. Daglish, I know of a few Kopites who are now wishing Rafa was still in charge. Daglish has the demeanour of a man under pressure, which is fair enough.
