  1. Dreamfeed disturbs him. Might give it a miss tonight and see when he wakes..
  2. Me too. Baby still keeps waking at 5am though....
  3. It's fine. I'm preferring some idle buggy chat to bf stress... I understand in principle about the muslin but never had a prob with biggest baby SB. I do worry about littlest in the bottom of the phil and teds - very exposed - muslin only option there! (cue SCREAMING)
  4. Not sure - don't use the buggy that much - does shelter their eyes I think. When it's fully down I can't actually see him... Quite a faff to change over I imagine?
  5. Hum yes - after coveting it I am not loving the bee actually! We have one of the silver sunshade hoods - it's quite good as has an extra 'shady' bit. But quite expensive and specific to the bee so you couldn't use it on another buggy - I doubt a toddler would tolerate it! Muslins are fine... Parasols are seriously rubbish.
  6. I kmow mima I think I am just a bit dyslexic when it comes to raincovers - they always get me in a muddle - I seemed to have weird bits of velcro and elastic loops and hooks which I just hopefully tied round the nearest bit of frame - the diagram in the booklet shows fwd facing - therefore different bits of frame to what I found. Ho hum - well we sort of stayed dry anyway. I had a mammoth battle with the phil and teds double raincover this afternoon too (got wet a couple of times today - nice - the cherubs were dry though) - it's so enormous it's like putting up a tent...
  7. ..Sorry having a stupid moment (blame the nice early start) - the bugaboo bee raincover - does it not really fit if the buggy is in parent facing mode? The moaning baby and rampaging 2 yr old not helping me...
  8. We held onto it for AGES - finally dropped at 17m (!) after shortening and phasing it out from 16m. Mine woke really early too - but there is a school of thought that says they wake early but know they will get a catch up in a couple of hours! Dropping it deeply painful process - lots of near misses falling asleep in the buggy on way back for lunch, tantrums over lunch etc. And we moved the lunchtime nap forward to about 12.30 (was sleeping at 2). I reckon you've got some time yet!
  9. I thought it was deliberately provocative - is it called trolling? And therefore not worth even acknowledging (umm rubbish have done so now!)...
  10. Know what you mean though cuppa - I am breastfeeding but am not confused!! Seems there is a certain spin on the piece before actually talking to the 'mums'...
  11. Supergolden - yes - from my brief flirtation with ww online you input everything you eat in the day and it works out your points - but this is tedious in the extreme when you've say cooked a meal and have to estimate values etc and input recipes....
  12. The only thing you can be sure of is whatever works at 6m won't by the end of term at 8/9m!! I just worked round times - most baby groups are at either 10 or 11 though. 11 probably best for most but it sounds like her first sleep is really late - my 4m old currently goes down around 8.30am - and that first nap tends to stick around for a while fairly consistently (my 2 yr old only dropped his by then 9am nap at 16m).
  13. He he we think the same belle!
  14. You can make the iCandy apple and peach into doubles...but it is actually quite expensive to do so! I had an apple - and it was going to cost about ?300 I think to make it into the 'pear'. AND the seats are pretty small, not great for a hulking toddler. So I sold the apple and got a Phil and teds.. I would say get what suits you now. If you get an iCandy or bugaboo they hold there value quite well, you can always sell and get something more appropriate at a later date.
  15. We went in the big pool on Sunday - it was fine - as is the Ed pool - she's got a wetsuit yes? Z prefers the main pool to the baby pool. East Dulwich pool open for littlies all morning think.
  16. My sister had some refresher lessons with Michael who I think has been recommended on the forum before - 07956 477626. Sorry no more details - but the lessons must have been fine as she does drive now (after not doing so for about 10 yrs!)
  17. Hmm having enviously seen your fb posts re your recent hols I'm sure we can think of something:-) But you'll always be the nappy lady to me! I find it confusing when I get emails/fb updates from the company and it takes me a moment to realise is not you.
  18. We kind of missed ours (son is now 26m...oops) - it's not obligatory if you are happy with everything....
  19. I am having similar sense of humour failure about these threads actually - maybe I'm feeling just a bit sensitive - it feels a bit like I need to justify my life choice/the state of my house/my education choices for my children. Blimey. So here it is - my name's snowboarder, I am a SAHM to two children under 26m, I have a cleaner and sometimes (gasp) send out my ironing, and good GRIEF my just 2 yr old goes to a pre school 2 mornings a week so that he can learn to cope with life without me. Phew. And I don't feel guilty about ANY of it. And I'm still totally knackered.
  20. It's quite fun - they are based at brockwell lido, and have a free (sure start?) class at the albrighton centre on Wednesday's. Chaotic and loud and drums and stories. I like it but the Wednesday one is soo busy... They do have a website...on phone so can't link atm...
  21. Yes Gina re intervention/c section rates in the states - has anyone seen the Business of Being Born? Tbh it might make quite depressing viewing - and maybe an unwelcome glimpse into how things might develop here..
  22. It's close but not convenient - it's by the main gates - so not on my way anywhere - and try getting a 2 yr old through the park without going to the playground!! Just not handy, despite proximity.
  23. The location puts me off - I like whippersnappers but wish they had a class in East Dulwich - the Goose Green centre or somewhere. I don't mind paying - the free class they do at the Albrighton centre is always bedlam...I would rather pay and at least have a chance of my child engaging in the class!!
  24. We had a cleaner pre babies, and continue to do so and I am at home with the children full time. My view is I did not give up my career to clean the house...and I'm lucky as we have decided that having a cleaner is something we want to continue to pay for. At least 1 if not 2 children are awake and need attention from me from 6am until 8pm....whilst obviously I wash up/tidy (ish)/do the washing etc I simply do not know what I would do with 2 small ones if I started cleaning the bathroom. Obviously I know it is a privilege. We would have to both do it at the weekend like we used to pre cleaner days otherwise...
