  1. Baby jogger have their own specific buggy board - here - super expensive! Think bith this and a lascal would be tricky though as on loads of prams due to position of brake...
  2. Are you thinking carrycot type pram (baby might be a bit big? Mostly up to 6m) or lie flat buggy? For lie flat buggy the baby jogger city mini is fab for hols as completely flat with great sunhood. As buggie says you could put one of the big cover up sunshades on. Or the maclaren triumph lies completely flat too.... More info please! But I'm not v good at ebay prams....(too addicted to shiny-ness of new...husband not happy about this...))
  3. Belle you seem to be under the misguided belief than one buggy is enough. Clearly you can have your 'bus' buggy, your 'car' buggy, your 'walking around east dulwich' buggy etc....;-)
  4. Have always been a bit cynical about music but will def give it a try. It's naps more than bedtime really, bedtime I bath and dress and story together, chuck toddler in cot and then we have a lovely snuggly feed. He falls asleep, wakes up when I put him down, but seems to go back to sleep again. I'm crap at swaddling, tried a couple of times in first weeks but he escaped...
  5. ..when you have a noisy 2 yr old downstairs? How please!! Baby sb the second has turned 3 months, and I'd really like to not be rocking him to sleep at nearly a year old like I did his big brother. But I don't know where to start...and it needs to be FAST as I can't/daren't leave little sb downstairs on his own for long. The baby just howls when I put him in his bed awake...so we generally rock and go out in the buggy...but that's another thing I'd rather not be reliant on. I'm kind of chilled about it in the short term, but am thinking by 6m ish would be nice to have a bit more routine and some cot naps (pref at the same time as his brother!). The methods we used to break the habit with big brother are just not appropriate with a much younger baby, so I need miracle answers. Hours of shush patting just not going to work...
  6. Liquid piriton sounds most excellent remedy....
  7. Sorry I know this info is elsewhere but what is Charter catchment approx? Is it as the crow flies measurement?
  8. Can they get it? Suppose they can! My 2 yr old is streaming and has been for about a month - but not unwell at all, just totally snotty. Me and baby are fine. How would you know though - he's not sneezing or runny eyes... Or is it just another vile toddler cold..?
  9. Ha I know. Come over whenever!! Get out of Kings as fast as you can!!! Longer you stay more probs (which may or may not actually be probs - like normal physiological jaundice, slightly high temp 'cos it's freakin' BOILING in there etc) they find!
  10. Maybe it will be fine then! (ps - Found Z coming visiting almost upset me and him more than no contact at all! But was in a while - hopefully you won't be)
  11. 9 days is a very long time. Esp when you think you will then prob be in Kings for 2/3 days when the baby comes. I'd worry about S missing YOU - Z was obviously v affected by me being away for a week and a half over newbies birth recently (and only completely 'away' for 4 days). They do say a lot of change is not good around time of new baby arrival? But if they're def going I suppose you might as well accept it, let husband sort S out and have full on chill out massage etc time..? I know I wouldn't enjoy it though.
  12. I think the new p&t verve IS better - doubles seat reclines substantially more. My explorer doubles seat does not recline AT ALL. The other really crap thing is the main sunhood, which simply just pops off all the time when the doubles seat is on top (baby in cocoon below). Useless. Can't believe the detailing is so crap.
  13. Sorry that sounds flippant. But if it's that stressful I would make it my mission to ensure they didn't go...
  14. My current (main) issue with the p&t is that 13w old is too big for cocoon, but too little to sit up. Once in 2 seat mode you can't recline either of the seats so basically it's lie flat or sit up properly. I think they are not good for babies from about 3/4m until more like 8/9m really. I want a mountain buggy duet - side by side but same width as p&t. Husband not so keen on expanding pram collection. Echo why can't you get the mb on the bus? Can get p&t on....
  15. In which case somewhere close to Charter? Then potential for Dulwich village/hamlets too if still little at first?
  16. Suppose the only thing with actual tummy tub is it seems to be weighted so it doesn't tip. And there's a non slip bit on the bottom. And a handy line to show you how best to fill it. But I'm a sucker for 'stuff'. It just lives in the bath whennot being used.
  17. Half term this week and inconveniently 2 yr old's nursery is shut (huh). I've promised him playgroup but will see what can do...
  18. There is now a baby led weaning cook book by same author as above. Not sure how useful as bought but haven't opened it yet...did spy a page entitled 'steamed vegetables'....hmm...
  19. Yes F I agree - we were away this weekend so I popped baby in the bath with big brother - awful - slippery, couldn't wash him as needed 2 hands to hold him, he freaked out as obv felt unsafe! But he loves his tummy tub. Any bucket would do I suppose..?!?
  20. Tummy tubs rock! So easy, not slippery, my baby can even sit unassisted for a second while you grab a towel at 12 weeks old! And they look amazingly CUTE in them...look...
  21. A tuesday is lovely for me - and yes yes any cafes!! (Although don't love green and blue have to say). The electrical place - when is it open? I keep driving past and it looks shut?
  22. I'm currently not feeling the love for my phil&teds...Hmm what shall I get instead?
  23. As a self confessed pram-a-holic, am currently enjoying this website for info - it's particularly good on twin/tandems. Isn't this one nice?!?
  24. Also - if anyone is around on friday mornings and fancies meeting up with some mums with babies under a year - you could try Bumps and Babes at St Faiths on Red Post Hill. I used to go with my first, and went along last week with baby sb 2 and met some nice people. Also tea made for you and biscuits supplied!! From 9.30 - 11.30. Really good if you want to chat through all those sleeping/feeding/coming to terms with life with baby things too!! I won't make it this week but will def try and go again.
