Ok, fair enough. Please accept my apologies.

One would hope this could always be true. Certainly there?s the idea that one should always ?play the ball, not the person?, and if one resorts to doing otherwise then it?s a default admiral that you?ve lost the argument. Except it?s npt always accurate. As RH points out, some lines of argument are so heinous that they demonstrate the basic immorality which underpins them, at which point it?s fair to say the opener of such arguments is not worth being treated politely, as they have no intention of being reasonable. A nasty tone runs through public debate these days, fuelled by social media and the idea that incredibly complex issues can be reduced to soundbites and easy answers, and the even more dangerous idea that if one holds a given position on spmething, then you are somehow in trenchant opposition to all other views. It?s manifesting itself in the view of human beings as somehow unequal or less valid, from whichever point of view is in play. That?s incredibly scary, and needs to be opposed at every level and every opportunity.

Is that me you?re talking about? Given your earlier post that some pretty good hypocrisy.

Alright mate, whatever. Amazing cognitive dissonance there. You?re plainly a really angry person, but fury and divisiveness never solved anything. As I?ve said before, I like listening to the opposing viewpoint. My favourite online place to have my thoughts challenged is ARRSE, where I encounter of of people who disagree with a lot of what I say (and vice versa) but they?ve never descended to your level. In fact I?ve even changed my views on some stuff. Debate and discourse are good, but that?s not what you do here, and I don?t understand how you can?t quite recognise that. I hope that somehow you find peace within you and a way to stop hating so much, because it will eat at your soul. I?m robust debater and I expect nothing less in return. But there are limits. I would note that you didn?t actually provide an answer to my question, but rather used it to make your own point. I wish you luck, because you need it.

I?ve tried to have meaningful discussion with you. I?ve asked you questions and attempted to get a conversation going. You never do anything other than a drive-by splurge of your inner viciousness, so I?ve given up. Anytime you want to have an actual discussion I?m more than willing, always have been. Otherwise you just look as bad as the people you attack. You might want to think about your own behaviour and ask yourself what you can do to engage with others rather than come on here periodically st ?stick it? to people you disagree with. ETA - you don?t use your real name either, so maybe think again about your opinion of those who don?t.

Don?t feed the Chris Beacb troll. I know people who have met him in RL. They paint a very different picture to his passive-aggressive ?who, me?? online persona...

Well pretty much every Leave voter believes the BBC is wildly biased against Brexit and that QT is some kind of communist rally (yes, yes , hyperbole but you get the point), so they?ll be scratching their heads trying to work out how to spin that one.

Oh I did! And it came back with a description of gutless people who get really upset and all hurt feelings when other people point out what a hate-filled bigot they are. Like I say, you and Chris Beach would get along really well. You?re such a keyboard warrior, always ready to throw insults and fake news sound bites, but you?ve never once engaged in actual debate.

To be fair, 'utterly childish' pretty much sums up Chris Beach...

No, that?s pretty much it. This guy is very strange. The other party involved posted up their version of events and he?s refused to address the rebuttal. Sounds very much like he doesn?t like the fact that the police didn?t agree with him on the day. Comes across online as the kind of person who doesn?t like being told ?no?. Private prosecution? Really?

Think anything you want snowflake, I?ve already lost the respect I had for you. As I said, your lack of self-awareness has let you down here. As for bullying? Please, don?t make me laugh. That guy is another one who starts what he can?t finish.

I didn?t think it was possible for to make yourself look like more of an idiot over this Keano, but well done, you?ve managed to! Shame you?ve got so little self-awareness that you don?t understand how stupid you?ve been, but I guess back in your day people could take a joke and knew their place, eh?

Keano, whatever mate...

Seriously though, I don't know what you were thinking...I frequent other forums which are far more supportive of Brexit and scathing off the People's March, and amid all the abuse I've seen levelled at it today you are the only person to bring ethnicity into it. Why on earth should there be a requirement that any protest group be formed of an ethnically diverse/representative selection of people I don't know. Certainly I don't see much diversity in most Leave rallies, but perhaps that's ok by you.

Keano, I posted up a really angry response to this after trying to stay calm, and I've deleted it and replaced it with this. You bought up the race issue, then pretended you didn't. I find that, and you, utterly despicable. There was no need for that whatsoever, and you've been asked twice to explain it, by different posters, and twice you've just ignored them. That speaks volumes about you. I have no intention in engaging in further discussion with someone who treats race relations with such carelessness.

Keano mate, if I?m honest I appreciate your counterpoints to the prevailing opinions here, because as I?ve always said I like to hear opposing views. What I don?t like is stuff that veers into morally dubious territory, and your post does just that. What exactly is your point? That because - in your view - Remain is an overwhelmingly white cause it can?t be given credence? Are you genuinely saying that white middle class people have less right to be heard than others? That they are worth less, somehow, because of the colour of their skin? Seriously, what is your point here?

uncleglen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How many in 'that' 700,000 were voters in the > referendum? Got no idea. Why does it matter? > So you think it's ok to waste hours of police time > marching AGAINST democracy Ok, let?s get one thing straight you nasty little piece of work - you think it?s ok for anti-EU supporters to spend 49 years arguing for a change, but Remainers are supposed to just shut up and do what they?re told? By people like you? You live in a DEMOCRACY, as you yourself point out. That means people are ALLOWED to do this kind of thing. Suck it up, snowflake. > How many Remain voters changed to Leave after they > witnessed the arrogant and puerile behaviour of > Barmier et al? I don?t know. Do you? Got any links. And why on earth did you ever think the EU was going to give us an easy ride? You come on here and berate us for being in a ?lefty bubble?, as your fury at the betrayal of the white British working class burns within you. Your virulent hatred of political opinions that don?t match your own gives the lie to your supposed lack of bigotry, and you can?t stand the idea that Europe - which you openly loath - would stick up for itself. You yearn for s time when it was Britain for the British, and while you are correct that the white working class has been very hard done by over the last fifty years, frankly a lot of it they did to themselves. If populism - which you plainly endorse - has been shown to mean anything, it is about blaming other people for problems that are endemic to a society. All the examples you dredge up of terrible behaviour by foreigners over here? There?s just as many regarding British people who live in Asia, for example, or criminals of our own making. You don?t like Jews, you don?t like Muslims, you don?t like foreigners coming over here. Yes, we get it. You think Brexit is some kind of cure-all which will return us to a land you remember from your childhood. But you yourself tell stories of marching against the fascists in the East End, and you abhor homophobia and religious zealots, so why are so comfortable with hating on non-British? The same democracy that means I have to accept the result of the referendum also means you have to accept that people can disagree with you. There are horrible shades of totalitarianism in your opinions.

All you care about is digging up anything which supports your racism. I?m pretty sure we could find similar cases involving British citizens, both here and abroad, but that doesn?t fit your narrative.
