Thanks to everyone who came to the last meeting. Our next meeting is on 17th September at 8.00pm in the Clockhouse. Our chosen book is Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil by John Berendt. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight_in_the_Garden_of_Good_and_Evil I met up with the partner of Bianca Son yesterday. Sadly Bianca died suddenly on 30th June. Bianca had just finished her PhD at Soas and was looking forward to having more time for activities such as the book club. She had a very interesting life and I will send out a brief synopsis soon. Hope to see you all soon. Chick

Dear Book clubbers, I invited Michel Faber to our meeting but sadly he cant come. On Wednesday I am actually booked to attend a Canongate event in Ladbroke Grove but I think it's highly likely I will have to cancel this at the last minute. So maybe I should have asked before.
