Just wondered whether anyone has done this previously as we're thinking of booking for our toddler (3 yrs by then) who is mad about Thomas. Probably the one in Tunbridge Wells as seems the closest. Is it a full day out? What activities are there to do in the "Imagination Station"? We're trying to decide what time to book the train for... Do you actually get to ride on Thomas or any other of his "friends"? Grateful for any tips from anyone who has been before. Thanks :)

Does anyone know whose the scooter is in this photo - has a distinctive ladybird bell, a sticker with initials B V on it, and another bluey hibiscus style flower.
If it's your childs, or you can help find the owner, please please get in touch.... Would love to reunite it with the child who is no doubt missing it...

Thanks for the very kind offer KJJ but our LO loves his micro scooter and he's at that age where he's very certain about what's his and everything has to be just right. And we've got the scooter that was left behind at Rocca's by the other family (the one with the bell on it) but he knows that that one isn't his...
We're still keeping our fingers crossed that the other family will notice that they've got the wrong scooter and get in touch with us (we've left our number with Rocca) to swap back - but are we being naive? We're the kind of people who would notice if we'd taken the wrong scooter by accident but do other people not? What are our chances of getting it back? :(

We had lunch at Rocca in Dulwich village today, and unfortunately our little boy's blue mini micro 3 wheel scooter with orange brake was taken by accident from in front of the bar. The boy is devastated as his scooter is his pride and joy, so we'd love to get it back. It has two white apple stickers on the stem facing forwards, and a ring of green electrical tape (at the bottom I think).
Were you there today, and did you have a similar scooter (with a green bell with a ladybird on it) - or do you know who's scooter this is?
If anyone can help reunite boy and scooter, please PM me.
Thanks,
Al

On the subject of oil heaters, wondered whether I could ask those of you who have them whether yours are quiet? We've been using one for the last few weeks in our LO's room (the coldest in the house unfortunately) but the thermostat makes a loud click sound when it's switching on/off. Coincidentally our LO has started waking up A LOT at night and (clutching at straws) I'm wondering whether the clicking thermostat is disturbing him? Are there brands that are particularly quiet or will we have this problem with any model? We were thinking about getting a new one anyway (for a different room) but otherwise might resort to the 3.5 tog grobag....

Great. So I've booked a space for 8-10 on Monday at 1pm at the EDT. She said she's put us by the restaurant where there's more space for buggies etc and that it wasn't a problem if there was more or less of us as they have no other lunch bookings on Monday. The space should be booked under "Summer Babies" or "Emma" .
Looking forward to catching up next week! :)

Ginny - still up for lunch on Monday? Saw Cath and Harrison today and they're planning on coming too. Anyone else keen to join?

Ok then, how about Monday 16th Dec? Lunch at the EDT from 1pm ish. Once we get an idea of numbers we could even book a space. Hope that works for people.

Hi all
Wondered whether anyone fancied meeting up before Christmas? Perhaps for a big group lunch or for a glass (or two) of (mulled) wine at a pub meet up one afternoon? Or even for a drink or two one evening without babies!! Anyone keen? Been a while since the days of the summery Peckham Rye meet ups outside at the cafe!

Absolutely - fruit and veg seem well priced and last for ages tasting fresh - hope they continue it beyond christmas...

Yes - It's getting frustrating isn't it...
If the first friendly cyclist through it on an evening after Conway have knocked off for the day could push the chicanes a little to each side so that we can get through with just a wiggle rather than full lock, that would be great! We could take it in turns....
Seems unnecessary to dismount - surely the only necessary thing is a sign saying 'Slow Down' - there's actually nothing I've seen going on that directly impacts bikes going through..
Are the 'cyclist police' referred to above by the OP the SUSTRANS guys lobbying for more cycle paths - if so they're on our side..

Toby and I will try to come along but we're stuck at home waiting for a delivery at the moment, so will depend if they come in time. Unfortunately the delivery slot is rather unhelpful (8 - 18.30!) so who knows when we'll be allowed out! Hopefully see you in a bit.

Hi all
Anyone around to catch up this morning? 11.30 @ Peckham Rye?

Hi all
I'm intending to come along today (provided we keep to schedule!). See you later.

There's no excuse for damaging it, or using the clamps which need a Radar type key to access if you don't need them (eg aren't using it with a wheelchair), but as macutd said pretty sure there is no sign saying it can't be used by anyone just as a swing - happy to be corrected...

Congrats on all the new arrivals and hope everyone is coping with the sudden sleep deprivation (have to say the heatwave hasn't really been helping sleep-wise!). Our little boy Toby arrived 3 weeks ago today but can't believe how quickly the time has flown by already!
Would love to catch up with everyone next week - Monday better for me but could possibly still do Friday...

I thought bollards were to prevent cars driving on the pavement rather than prevent kids running onto the road?

Lots in Dulwich park this morning...

I'll be there - will be lovely to meet you! See you then.

Last summer we were quoted ?70 for the week to hire one, so we bought one for a tenner from here and threw it away afterwards (it was pretty worn). We actually meant to just ditch it in Italy, but realised we needed it for the taxi home so ended up lugging it back as well. Would do the same again.

Hi Kate
I've still got 3 more weeks at work to go but only work part time so have Thursdays and Fridays off at the mo anyway (but obviously with toddler in tow). We might be busy next week though (definitely Thurs possibly Friday), but otherwise would definitely be up for a park or playgroup meet up.

We can still make it, if anyone else still fancies meeting up. Park somewhere would be good as it's a nice and sunny afternoon. Anytime from about 3pm ish for us.

Brilliant. Thanks everyone for all your Thomas tips! Thomas Land at Drayton Manor was already on our radar but hadn't heard about the Thomas activities at the zoo in Brighton - great to know!
Think we'll go for it and book tickets. Am certain he'll love it! Thanks again.
