I have a list of 8 backed from the off - Rory, Zach, Hunter, Henrik, Brandt, Bill (Haas), Billy (Horschel), Paul (Casey). Most are going ok so far and great to see Tiger make a poor start.

What Mr Ben said. It pays to do your own research, ask around, establish your own appetite to risk etc. Read the money sections of the papers, "Google" how to bulid a balance protfolio. Pensions/Investments websites and funds supermarkets will give summaries of funds to invest in, reflecting past performance, risk of the investment etc. Fund supermarkets allow you to buy into these investments with no fees, as you gave not taken advice, so don't assume you need to pay to access certain investments. Personally I wouldn't use one because investment is a very personal thing and if I was going to make a mistake I'd rather get it wrong on my own to be honest. Advice would be invaluable if you risking your money on derivitive investments/ETFs etc. but thats generally for aggressive investors.

I heard this morning that the goal line technology is being tested at the Emirates of all places. True. But they are still passing it around, and it might be some time before they actually get a shot in. (All my own work - I'm here all week)

Arsenal could face PSV or Fenerbahce in Champions League play-off... but Celtic have got it easy UEFA president Michel Platini's desire to see more domestic title-holders in the Champions League leaves Arsenal facing a tough task to qualify for the group stages. League winners such as Celtic are kept apart from non-league winners like Arsenal, with five places each up for grabs in the 'champions' and 'non-champions' routes. Both Arsenal and Celtic are seeded for Friday's draw in Nyon, meaning that they have the perceived advantage of playing their second legs at home Who could Arsenal and Celtic play? Arsenal: PSV Eindhoven (Holland), Fenerbahce (Turkey), Real Sociedad (Spain), Metalist Kharkiv (Ukraine), Pacos de Ferreira (Portugal). Celtic: Austria Vienna (Austria), Legia Warsaw (Poland), Maribor (Slovenia), Ludogorets Razgrad (Bulgaria) and Shakhter Karagandy (Kazakhstan . Says Suarez has tried to tarnish the reputation of the club and he will take decisive action.

Apparently thats the whole problem (thats if you can believe anything Suarez says!) in that he says that within that contract last year, it allows him to leave after a year to a champions league club if liverpool failed to get into it, which they did fail to do. A cheat will always look out for himself and likely does not give a toss about anyone else. Exciting footballer though, which makes it even more of a shame. Steve Nicol on talksport last night said that the manager had let Suaraz down by not (so far) honouring the contract terms! I wonder why Nicol might want to undermine the current manager?

Good luck Charlie - hope things continue to improve.

Its funny how the G-word has dropped out of the common vocabulary. My daughter, a redhead, has hardly ever heard the word.
-
I stand corrected. Hope it goes well.

That's a great line. I must use that one. And I know just the person.

There is a difference between a pub and a bar of course. Most openings these days are bars rather than pubs. Bars are small space ventures and are popular currently. Big open pubs are no longer what people want. I'm afraid thats just the way it is. You might do better opening yet another bar next door to the Draft House than you would trying to get hoopers to work as many people like to be able to move from bar to bar/pub on a night out hence LL does well as its "bar central", a focal point for people to have a whole evening out. Also on LL people like to people watch - you cant do a lot of that at Hoopers.

Technology has worked well in tennis. But there seem to be too many moving uncertainties in cricket. Having said that, the hawkeye lbw decision making process shows how many decisions there are within one lbw decision and its surely very difficult for an umpire to get that right regularly - so hawkeye for lbw i would keep. Hotspot on the other hand seems to be under scrutiny with players allegedly applying something to the bat so it doesn't show - its days look numbered.

I implied nothing of the sort. East dulwich people shop in ED as is to be expected from the place they chose to buy a home - but more and more of them seem to head to peckham for their nightlife.

My post was about people from East Dulwich socialising in Peckham. Quote the correct post please.

And it seems that a lot of the people who recently moved to East Dulwich now socialise in Peckham. Organic meats, fish, veg and home comforts in a safe environment by day in East Dulwich, edgy vibes by night in Peckham.

Well done England.

It takes about 6 hours. I reckon they bring it mostly roasted and just finish it off at the venue an hour or so before serving. Saw it done in South Africa.
