  1. Tyson Gay and Assafa Powell...... Athletics is a drugs sport. Noone ever knows what to believe. Even at the Olympics.
  2. Beckenham is good fun too but depends if you want club membership or casual golf.
  3. Hi GD. I'm a member of Dulwich. Really good club to join. If you are not joining with someone else, they have a morning swindle where you can turn up and draw for partners. All very easy.
  4. How much did you get for your gaff MM. ;) Rhetorical question. Good luck in Cornwall. Hope you fit in.
  5. I thought the Aussies would edge it. And sure enough, they did.
  6. Houses on Dulwich College lawns.... not likely.

I like this post Mike, right up to the point that you imply you are younger than me!
  8. Steveo. We know that. But I like being the only one in the queue mate. Just finishing barbecuing 5 of his finest rib eye's. He's a nice bloke too. Great photo of Vic Reeves on the back wall of the shop, wielding a chain saw. Photo credits to well known local photographer..
  9. Lost on sky lantern yesterday. On sole power today. Both were recent ascot winners so was asking a lot to reproduce same form so soon but had to support them anyway.

  11. Dearheart - you are acting on hearsay, you know nothing other than what someone has posted on a forum. The post was from someone who heard something from someone else's daughter. ? I expect that if the parents are concerned they will have already raised it with the school.

  13. It seems there has been a lot of shagging going on since I was born. And a lot less before I was born.
  14. The Last Drop in the Grassmarkets... great pub. You won't get a table though. The Oxford and Cambridge are good too behind Princess Street.
  15. I wonder could it be my father in law. He wears socks and sandals. Long walk from Hampshire though, so probably not him.
  16. Its the dominance of the baseliners (Murray Djokovic and Nadal) v the class of a more diverse game of eg Federer. Baseline games can take a bit of time to get going and sometimes can be long and dull encounters despite what the commentators try to tell us - but can have some great passing shots. Baseliner v serve and vollyer used to give the best matches at Wimbledon but they are a rare combo now.

All the good things have been said, which I agree with but "normal" - I don't think so really. Loved the journey and watching him win, but it perhaps demonstrates that the winning personality that has helped him get there doesn't always come across very well. He reminds me of Faldo, focussed to the point of being unaware of what's going on around him. Yesterday BBC - How does it feel to win - "better than last year" Today BBC - how does it feel to wake up a Wimbledon champion Andy - "It feels ok" I think that off the court it takes an awful lot to get AM excited.

  21. Wot ?
  22. Amydowm. It might be best to forget the 12 weeks (as I have litle doubt you have signed up for this ) and say to the agent that you are ending the relationship due to poor performance. They will either accept or focus much more attention on your property than they would otherwise have.

  24. London - Legendary Lions coach Ian McGeechan added to the pressure on current boss Warren Gatland by saying Friday he would have picked Brian O'Driscoll for this weekend's crunch Test against Australia. New Zealander Gatland, who as Ireland coach gave O'Driscoll his international debut, has been engulfed in controversy ever since omitting the 34-year-old star centre O'Driscoll from what many would thought would be his Lions swansong. Saturday's match in Sydney is also the decider in a three-match campaign the Lions must win if they are to record their first series victory in 16 years. Former Scotland centre McGeechan, in charge of victorious Lions tours in Australia (1989) and South Africa (1997), said he would have stuck with the midfield duo of Jamie Roberts and O'Driscoll he deployed four years ago, rather than partner Roberts with Welsh colleague Jonathan Davies as Gatland has done. "I would have paired Brian O'Driscoll with Jamie Roberts for the third Test in Sydney. For me, they are the best centre partnership in world rugby," McGeechan wrote in Friday's UK Daily Telegraph. "They showed that in the two Tests they played in South Africa four years ago, before both were injured," added McGeechan, coach of the Lions side that lost to the Springboks in 2009 when Gatland was one of his assistants. However, McGeechan, who represented the Lions on their unbeaten tour of South Africa in 1974, said while "that would have been my call against Australia it has not been Warren Gatland's". "And I would not criticise it. Selection, particularly on a Lions tour, is a very personal thing...And Warren obviously feels this is the best way forward." Gatland, seconded to the Lions from his 'day job' as Wales coach has also been slammed for selecting 10 Welshmen in his starting XV for Saturday's must-win game. Critics have pointed out how Wales have lost their last eight Tests against Australia but a diplomatic McGeechan said of Gatland: "He most certainly will not see it as a Welsh way. He will see it as a Lions way. These players are Lions now." McGeechan said the presence of "complete centre" O'Driscoll, not even on the bench for Saturday's match, would have been especially valuable after tour captain Sam Warburton, another Wales star, was ruled out through injury. "He is also a great leader. I worry that the Lions will miss that sort of influence," McGeechan added of O'Driscoll, appointed captain for the 2005 tour of New Zealand only to be injured barely minutes into the first Test against the All Blacks following a controversial 'spear' tackle. "There are players out there that have not been in the pressure situations that Brian has faced countless times down the years. "When it is bedlam all round, he has the ability to remain calm and see just what is needed tactically for the next five or 10 minutes. "Not everyone has that gift."
  25. I'm with Silverfox. Probably the minimum term is the overriding factor. You may be able to give notice within the 12 weeks for breaking the contract at the 12 week point or thereafter. Thats my guess. Otherwise it wouldn't work - you could give 3 weeks notice on day 2 of the contract after thay have spent money advertising your house sale on web/paper etc. Thye would not have drafted a contract along these lines. * You are however completley within your rights to negotiate with them a contract break based upon poor service - that might be best.
