  1. So EP - do you think that implying that Germans are more efficient than those of other nations is racist ?

Not that I give a sh*t about comemnts about Polish builders. Anyone describing that as racism can get off their high horse.

Therefore if a child is targeted it would have happended at some stage. Its unfortunate that the actions of the McCanns made it so easy for them but I don't doubt that if the Met are correct that it was a planned abduction then they would have found a way. I'm sorry for the McCanns that they did not get decent immediate police input on the loss of their child.
  4. It always surprises me when people snuggle up to their cats or allow their cats to lick them when they must he aware that said cats spend much of their time biting into rodents.
  5. Well done Quids. Good work mate. We all helped by cancelling last week's drinks so you didn't get drunk and eat a kebab.

  9. Sorry you guys didn't back it. Obviously I didn't know a lot about the horse and didn't want you to lose money so steered clear of recommending it. We had a great day and we were over the moon with second place. It will run again once this year prob towards the end of the month. It will run in either a maiden for horses that have yet to win a race or a claimer where god forbid someone can buy it from us. As I only a small share i have no say so I'm hoping the main owner chooses a maiden in which case we will likely own it into next year as a three year old. It has some distance ability on the dam side so 10 or 12 furlongs could suit it next year.
  10. Is this a regular thing HMB....you Mrs must be very understanding.
  11. I'm getting ?750 shares as with anyone else asking for up to 10000. Over that you get nout.

The Telegraph understands that plans being drawn up in Whitehall could see those who applied for tens of thousands of pounds worth of shares excluded from the stock market flotation next week. They will be told of the decision tomorrow. It had previously been thought that all investors who applied for shares would be granted some stock - although it is now expected that tens of thousands of more wealthy investors will be snubbed. The exact "cut-off" point will be decided today, but is likely to be those who applied for more than between ?40,000 and ?50,000 worth of shares. It may be set as low as ?10,000. Others may receive fewer shares than they had hoped.
  13. Yes nothing in and nothing out for 2 years. Pretty good eh :)
  16. I'm aware of that. yes they could make a contribution to a coordinated improvement otherwise we are bound to forever have a mish mash of surfaces.

Couldn't agree more, but see that this thread has since focussed on whether it needs to be done, loose pavings etc. Can't an argument be made from an added value perspective rather than a necessary repair perspective? The nature of the lane would change for the better with a paving revamp and as its the focal point of ED it would benefit everyone who shops there or eats/drinks outside. Outside franklins farm shop, pizza gogo, moxons etc its a mish mash of different uneven surfaces.

Glad to see someone has started a thread to have the pavements improved. I'm not the only one that finds them an eyesore.
  20. Yes but I placed my bet at SP squids. Spurs were not 40 then, were they. ..
  21. Good win at Ascot today and back to 3972. Two years now since I put on ?30 and it has been rolling ever since, with a few hiccups. Liverpool for the league at 33s looks good too.
