    The Patch

Its Palmerston prices I geuss so no reason why it cant also do well, assuming they get the food right from the start. As for drinking, Nice to have something working again in that space, good place to stop for a first beer on the way down to the "nightlife" at the end of the lane.

  5. I have always found the B and B on Upland Road to be of the highest quality and cleanliness. Do they want this post removed.
  6. Oh SJ, you have all the answers.

  8. 43 out of 50. Honest gov but my cut and paste did not work so no proof. Of course it was just down to good exam technique. And lots of hard work.
  9. Whats the difference between someone putting a positive/negative comment on here or putting it on trip advisor - businesses are going to get both and these days they have to learn to live with reviews being public.
  10. Thanks ianr, I'll work on that. "Silver Treasure has been declared to run in the 14:20 (French time) at Chantilly on Thursday. He has been drawn in stall 9 of 14 and excellent local jockey Maxime Guyon rides"
  11. "4 pounds" - who he?
  12. Fair play to all the bus drivers who kept London moving today.

City obviously feel they can't afford any more mistakes.
  14. Got on the 12 at Haymarket. Don't trust the trains.

  17. On the bus I saw there was a big tree down on Barry road, but helpfully it sacrificed itself without blocking the road or pavement.
  18. I am on the 12 bus. Very slow but Lou Reed is helping me through it. My Kent colleagues have no trains and unlikely to be in at all.
  19. Our bins haven't moved, never mind fences.
  20. BBC weather online now saying wind max of 24 mph at 6 am. If correct, doesn't seem too much to worry about. M Fish.
  21. Is this a storm in a teacup. Just saw a BBC newsman in Cardiff interviewed in a Berghaus jacket, looked like his hair was dry and unmoving but someone had brushed his jacket with warm olive oil to give it a wet glazed effect. Nothing happening, go to bed, no storm coming. M Fish.
  22. I think you are wrong on this one MM. It's helpful info from James.
  23. Can't agree more with Lawro and Owen, big Hart mistake today. I say that as a former goalkeeper. Advancing defender was winning the chase, stay on your six yard line for easy passback.
  24. Back to bed Alan. It's only 7am mate.
