    Scary pubs

Old Bill - I was accused of being old bill a few times, my mate was very clean cut and we used to like sh!t pubs, particularly in Finsbury Park. Locals moved to the other side of the bar when we came in. Bar man just laughed at them though as he knew we were boring accountants, he used to drink with us at a nearby pub.

  5. SJ. I'm surprised you include Northern Ireland in this debate. Ironically we have not had a Dunblane type incident. There are no people who I know of who support legalisation of arms.
  6. Sad to see Nigel Doughty, having passed away this year. And all the others.
  7. Betting is quite close between Bradley and Jessica now.
  8. We don't. It's nothing to do with personality. Get with it.
  9. Yeah. It Wiggins, big fav followed by Ennis and Mo.
  10. Have bet on Bradley tonight. Odds on can't lose? Surely. And he is there. I don't think you can expect to win if you don't turn up.
  11. I'd say so. He certainly deserves it more than last year's winner. Bradley's achievements are unique.
  12. Who will it be ? Suspect Rory is a shoe in ;) he should be any way.
  13. As many as 27 people have been killed, including children, in a shooting attack at a Connecticut primary school At least a dozen children are among the dead at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Earlier, the gunman was reported to have been killed
  14. We know, we know. Its all ok SJ, its all ok.
  15. SJ doesn't do jokes.
  16. "And then there are the customers who not only became friends but at times, quite literally saved us to ensure that we lived on to fight another day. Foremost in this cherished group is of course Lawyer Liz. The drains crisis would have been the end of us if she had not swooped in at a time when our energy and resources for the fight were critically low. She made the last 4 years considerably easier than they otherwise would have been and, like everyone I have been lucky enough to work closely with, made it fun. Even in the very darkest moments. Liz ? I hope you know how deeply all of us will always appreciate this." Edited to say - Quote from website..

And if it was me in the room with it - I'd be scared too.
  23. He's definitley the control type. Having said that I really like his music. But where would he be/have gotten to without Bridge over Troubled Water, who knows. On one bit of old footage shown last night they were singing it and he shouted at the producer/sound man - "where's my mic, whats happened to my microphone", implying it was turned down. He realised it was on and backtracked, whilst the sound man and Art did nervous twitches, they were obviously scared of him. He seemed to have a chip on his shoulder about the song that made him. Having said that he's contributed a lot of good music over the years that I have enjoyed and I don't really care what type of person he is, its not like he's in our lives.
  24. This documentary was the first time I had seen Art contribute as well. I'd seen lots of documentaries where he was absent. It seems they are friends again. They spoke in praise of each other. It was interesting also that Bridge over Troubled Water was played against a background video of the funerals of JFK, Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King, and was once taken off the TV schedule as it was considered to be a protest song - something Paul Simon says he looks back on and is now quite proud of.
  25. Simon and Garfunkel. What a great interaction between two people. Just watched the Imagine documentary.
