  1. Agreed let's not jump on people for getting on with their lives. Anyway, its now 19th June rather than 14th June? Slight slippage.
  2. Are you old enough to remember the Dog, when it was a working pub?
  3. Anders: 3.40 and 5.08 of this video. I remember as I was there.

  6. I would say its ok for young children but not ok for adults. It might even be illegal, when the Boris bikes first came out there were a spate of on the spot fines for riding on pavements.

  8. I think Ajax might beat MU ....
  9. Hmmmm. Seems soft obvs, but whether its more helpful than a prison sentence, who knows. If she reoffends the judicial system will have serious egg on its face/possible blood on hands. Perhaps the period between the offence and trial has shown her to be drug free etc.

  11. What is it they say about foxes and their owners...

  14. A few predictors seemed to be heart over head. We are all filled with hope at the beginning of a new season I guess.
  15. Just a bit of sympathy RH, for the last defeat. No-one likes losing.

Awww, bless.
  17. World Cup 2007, we had that same group, with France and Argentina. We got dumped out. As the best team in the world, or thereabouts, England should have no problems of course. I'd say Ireland will be happy yes, avoiding all three southern hemisphere teams. Quite nice that NZ and SA are in the same group, to batter sevens shades of sh1t out of each other early doors.

  19. You know you grew up in ED when... I'll ask my children. They have grown up in ED and I'm rather envious. I do get to live in the same house though.
  20. Brulysses, has been very quiet, but perhaps should apologize and change the thread name to reflect the unfortunate Perryvale, having been hacked.
  21. I thought exchange controls were to limit fluctuations in currency rather than the flow of money. Balance of payments is imports v exports, not flows of cash I thought? If someone earns money in this country, as long as they pay tax on those earnings, they should be entitled to do what they want with it after that.

  23. Yes..... You surely aren't comparing Car Share to Royle Family?
  24. OK - to clarify, and to compare like with like, I'm talking early Not Going Out, compared to early series Car Share. NGO is tired now, I agree, but I used to find it very funny, and everything tires eventually. And as for Tim Vine..... Car Share I just find absolutely awful. Tried again last night - I really just don't get why its "funny". And the reason I have picked NGO as a comparable is that they are similar genre - slapstick / boy likes girl or girl likes boy / not getting together

Good stuff - still on roughly the same spot (and in that case I can understand there not being a huge good bye)
