  2. No it means exactly what it says.

Dulwich Village is ahead of 2007 levels it seems. Buy to Let is back in fashion. Discuss..... (Love this thread, had to bring it back)

Don't understand that one. Went whey over my head.
  6. You are off the mark there Mr B my friend, the exemption you refer to is intended to apply to small time musicians and only applies to 250k pa which is a small percentage of U2s annual income of many squillions. They use Netherlands double tax traties and pay little tax in their home country. As they are unwilling to pay Irish taxes the man in the street picks up his extra share of the bill, which he can ill afford. So much for them being Irish heroes. Take, take, take (and very publically try to help Africa while letting down their home country). The comparison with Rolling Stones is wrong too as RS moved to France when the tax rate here was 85%. U2 feel a corporate tax rate of 12.5 % in Ireland is too much for them. Shameful.
  7. Absolutely agree. Have posted here before about U2 double standards with very public charity activities but paying little Irish taxes when the whole country is struggling.

There was a drunk in ED last night. I tracked him from the bishop to the edt to locale to the gowlett to east dulwich tandoori to the bishop again and then to liquorish. My mate Jim. He was fractionally less drunk than me. Don't think we offended anyone though or asked for money. People kept asking me for money though. I have only coins left now.
  9. Ireland lead Macedonia 2-0 with two Robbie Keane goals. This would be a big result if they could pull this off. Robbie Keane now equal with Tierry Henry on 51 international goals. That means he is one ahead of Thierry Henry on international.goals.
  10. You queen...?

  12. Should have switched. Damn.
  13. Decided on Recital to win and masked marvel for a place.
  14. Was at the Oaks yesterday and had 3 winners from 7 and made a small profit as relatively short odds winners. Nicolas Abbay won the coronation stakes in a superb battle with Henry Cecils horse Midday. Backed Wonder of Wonders in the Oaks which came a close second. Anyone following the Derby meeting today? any thoughts? Was going to back Kieran Fallon but he is ruled out now and might switch to the French horse Pour Moi....

irishman walks into a bar with his nine mates. He orders 10 pints of Guinness. Barman asks if he would like a tray with that. He says - do you not think I have enough to carry? Brilliant. No?

  18. I'd guess that a 2 bed with garden would be achievable at 300 but you would be compromising on the quality of the flat or location. Otherwise its possibly more than 300 for good location or modern flat. Yours - ED Agent...

I hope you got your secretary to type that Jah. I'd hate to think you wasted your personal time on that one.
  20. Brilliant news. I once witnessed these two holding hands. Always a sign that people like each other (and are not yet married). And you won't hear any jokes about fireman's poles from me.
  21. I can't read that.
  22. So much for that then. How about a pound on Rory at 90 tomorrow. He is 6 back. Long long Shot.
  23. Know what you mean Matt. They certainly would not get in the Celtic team.
  24. Does a dull dutch average goalkeeper deserve his own thread LM?
  25. Yes, very good Matt. What I could not quite come to terms with was why Giggs played 90 mins in midfield - was Fletcher not supposed to be one of the reasons MU lost in 2009? and then when he is not suspended, they choose to leave him on the bench for 90 mins. Giggs should never have been on from the start. Anderson or Fletcher needed in midfield, But at the end of the day, Barca are streets ahead. Van der Saar said "one game too many" - very honest and a good time to retire. Giggs may feel the same.
