I have a friend who said in 1st year at Secondary School, in the end of year exams, he came top of the year and the teacher in one particular subject had to double check who he was, she did not recognise his name as he had contributed nothing verbally to the class all year, but came top of the class. Socially he is a man of few words but he is a consultant doctor. So he is trusted with life and death decisions. I think verbal communication skills are very important in life and personal relationships and socially people make their own judgements as to your level of intelligence based on their interaction with you. I wish my verbal communication skills were better, but given the choice I'd choose logic as I think in the way intelligenece is measured for school and professional exams etc it a strong attribute to have. If you can verbally communicate that too its a bonus. ????? (in case I missed any)
