  1. I have a friend who said in 1st year at Secondary School, in the end of year exams, he came top of the year and the teacher in one particular subject had to double check who he was, she did not recognise his name as he had contributed nothing verbally to the class all year, but came top of the class. Socially he is a man of few words but he is a consultant doctor. So he is trusted with life and death decisions. I think verbal communication skills are very important in life and personal relationships and socially people make their own judgements as to your level of intelligence based on their interaction with you. I wish my verbal communication skills were better, but given the choice I'd choose logic as I think in the way intelligenece is measured for school and professional exams etc it a strong attribute to have. If you can verbally communicate that too its a bonus. ????? (in case I missed any)
  2. wtf ??????
  3. I think we have had too many referees making match defining decisions in big games with sendings off and penalties. Webb made no hasty decisions and the best team won, he will be appluaded for this performance I reckon. We all saw the bad foul on Alonso of course, but he did not see it in slow mo like us, overall I thought he did really well - he took no shit from the players, laid down the law early with a fair few bookings of the key prepetrators and also avoided controversial decisions. Well done I think.
  4. As you might suspect, I am clean, but I had a "Rub a Dub" once.
  5. eh - this time its the real deal - he has actually won something....not like the english golden girls Juarez impressed in three World Cup matches for Mexico in South Africa and would be an interesting addition to Neil Lennon?s squad. The 22-year old defender was part of the Under-17 World Cup winning team in 2005 And, also, he can cook chimichangas....so the move away from deep fried mars bars should be a step up..

  7. According to reports in Mexico Celtic have signed World Cup defender Efra?n Ju?rez. According to Fifa Ju?rez currently plays right back for Puma, however his Wikipedia entry refers to him as a right winger and he has been described as part of the Golden Generation of Mexican football. He has previously been on the books of Barcelona

  9. Are they still in the premiership? - I cant remember how it all finished last year.... If you are not in it you cant win it.

  11. Brilliant - best team won. Not a great game though, but with the result always in doubt, it was always interesting. Ok - who is going to win the premiership.

  13. I hope we are all following the BBCs lead and are watching the final with suits and ties on. Its compulsory - get the old funeral dark grey suit on everyone.
  14. IQ tends to be tested under exam conditions, involving no verbal communication but in life I believe we are judged by friends and peers on our communication skills and ability to talk around subjects and express our thoughts verbally. Which is more valuable skill in life, strong analytical/logical skills, or verbal communication skills.
  15. Emile Heskey exiled to Scotland? Celtic to take the player noone wants....
